Customer Questions & Answers

is this a SET OF BRACKETS? What does EACH mean here?

Two of the items in the pic per kit ... so the $14.99 gets you two to form a complete rack. I had the same question ... if you drill down a little, you will see it's a pair.

Concerned about the pressure.

I will be using only one bracket per row of wood. It will be on the lower end of the row and will be stacked to four feet high. My concern is, if the bracket fails, and the four foot 2 X 4 falls over, I will lose quite a bit of wood over the bank. I'm currently using steel brackets that have served me well over the years. But the vertical brace, once loaded, is at a rather severe angle. I'm concerned that this plastic style of brace won't be able to handle the load. Is there a weight limit to these. Thank you.

LumberRack Adjustable Firewood Rack Bracket Kit is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 64.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, adjustable, and made to last. We usually 'put up' 4 plus cords of split firewood each year. Our wood shed has room for 5 rows deep - each row 16' long (2 racks 8' long, end to end). We purchased 4 more bracket sets in anticipation of cutting even more wood this year. It's been a long Idaho winter this year! One of the best features of using these brackets is how easy it is to take them apart, allowing much easier access to the rows of wood stacked behind the front rows. These are heavy duty, some of our original Shelterlogic brackets are going on 5 years old and are still in great shape. Highly recommend.

If you had 3, 8 foot 2x4', you would simply need to cut one of those into 2 four foot pieces, slide them into the respective slots, and you are done. I would expect you could make your rack longer than 8 feet if desired, simply need a couple of longer boards for the bottom. I have mine filled right now and it was everything I was looking for, simple yet functional. Only question will be how they hold up, but they seem fairly substantial.

Two large ash trees in our yard fell victim to the borer blight, and I had them knocked down, leaving me with a ton of wood and nowhere to put it. Can't get a much easier assembly project. I used (4) 2x4x8' treated timbers per rack bracket kit, cutting two timbers in half for each set of four verticals. I just slid everything together and started stacking. It was just what I was looking for. By the end of next week, I should have all six new racks loaded for seasoning.

No assembly necessary other than just slipping the 2' X 4" 's in place. This design allows you to set the height of the sides as well as the length. The description should be clearer that there are TWO brackets - all you need- included in a single order. We've only had this up for a few weeks, but seems sturdy and does just what we need.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from tight with PT The PT from the store was too wet and thus too large to slip through the horizontal slots. With the wood outside for two weeks, there was some drawing and shrinking effect, so that's both expected and encouraging. The firewood won't be her for another two weeks and by that time, I expect the horizontal 8 foot sections to fit properly. Two ends already do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product This product was easy to use and set up. What I did not know was that the product is even better than i thought. I can literally slide the units along a 2x4x8 and decrease the size of the wood pile as I use wood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fire wood bracket kit Work's real good you could use any size 2x4 length and it holds a bunch of split wood, going to buy a few more, only down side it is not in the store, have to order on line and had to pickup in the store.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy set-up Easy to use. Have some concern that it is made out of hard plastic instead of hard rubber or steel. I am afraid that it will crack. Will see how it makes it through the cold, snowy winter.
