Customer Questions & Answers

is this a SET OF BRACKETS? What does EACH mean here?

Two of the items in the pic per kit ... so the $14.99 gets you two to form a complete rack. I had the same question ... if you drill down a little, you will see it's a pair.

Concerned about the pressure.

I will be using only one bracket per row of wood. It will be on the lower end of the row and will be stacked to four feet high. My concern is, if the bracket fails, and the four foot 2 X 4 falls over, I will lose quite a bit of wood over the bank. I'm currently using steel brackets that have served me well over the years. But the vertical brace, once loaded, is at a rather severe angle. I'm concerned that this plastic style of brace won't be able to handle the load. Is there a weight limit to these. Thank you.

I have several sets of these, and I would recommend they only be used on very close to level areas. They would be great, for example, on a deck or on a poured concrete floor. I use them in the house on a wood floor in the winter for temporary storage. If I were going to attempt to do what you suggest, I would go with metal brackets, or at least, at a minimum, put a diagonal brace or two on the lower end against your 2x4s. It would require more wood, but could be easily built, though not the neatest looking thing in the world.

How come the ad says that a PAIR of brackets is $14.99, when I click it into the cart, it comes up $39.98?

Asked by: Tippy
