I'm setting up my third set of racks using this product and am very happy with them. Most of the 2 x 4's I've used (some pressure treated some spf) slide right thru. I'm making my racks with 12' 2 x 4's and I'm using 3 brackets per rack. I'm cutting my verticals 5' which gives me about 4 1/2' to stack my wood and I'm pilling higher than that, about 5'. I tie the verticals together with short pieces across the top, about 9 3/4" and then I tie all 3 sets of verticals together with another 12' 2x4 at the top along the back. This makes a very sturdy rack that holds about 3/4 of a cord. Hope this helps. Not sure of the durability of the abs but only time will tell. Oh I built my racks this size to fit in a particular space, you could adjust the size to your needs.

I bought four sets of these to use at my deer hunting camp. These could only be purchased online but they only took a couple of days to arrive. These brackets are of a really simple design and plastic composition. I made two twelve foot long racks for on the porch outside and two four footers for indoors beside the ends of the fireplace. All four sets were made with four foot uprights on the ends. They do exactly what they are supposed to, so I am satisfied. Some reviewers said they had a hard time fitting treated lumber through the slots, but if you choose the drier boards out of the pile at the lumber yard you won't have any problems. I used untreated 2x4s for the uprights.

Too early to tell if this product will hold up over time. These plastic items harden overtime and crack will have to wait and see if it holds up, otherwise a good product for the money.

Due to the weight of firewood in the horizontal direction (sooner or later some piece will fall to the side of the stack) I recommend a heavier gauge material. As an alternative, we bought a second set and 2 more 2x4's (to match the 2 at the bottom) and placed the new set at the TOP of the verticals to form a rectangular log rack frame. It was necessary to put Stops underneath the upper set to prevent it from sliding down. BTW, 2x4's swollen by moisture or preservative need to dry out and shrink in order to easily slide into the bracket horizontally.

Allows you to adjust to the size you want and you only need 2X4's - very affordable and despite my apprehension of the product being made from plastic it works!!! :)

Easy to assemble. Only needed four 2x4s (10-feet long). Used two of them for the bottom slats and cut the other two in half (5-feet each) for the four vertical slats. Hopefully will last.

Just assembled it. Took ten minutes. Bought three pressure-treated 2X4's at Home Depot and got them cut in halves there in the store. Fit fine. Seems sturdy, stable so far. Will write again if that changes. Used the ShelterLogic 4' cover. Fits fine as well. Not bad.

I was happy to be able to do a project on my own. So I went to home depot got the required 2x4's for the "perfect" fit. Well not 1 of the 4 upright 2x4's fit in the brackets. Back to the store to return.
