I used garage length studs. I used one bracket in the middle of span. It works near perfect for an easy sizing of 4'. I cut 1 in half for the uprights & added a 2x4 block across the top to hold the bottom dimension true. Easy to figure how much wood you have that way. Every three sections 16"x4'x4' = a face chord. x3= a full chord

This was a very easy and inexpensive way to build a log rack. Although I did have to shave down the 2x4 a bit to make them fit through the sleeve, it really wasn't an issue at all. Also, you could customize to any size (height, width) that you like.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jrzyshore Works great and no rusting
I have about 10 wood cribs and I'm slowly changing them all over to these. Before I used metal brackets which have rusted. These work well and no hardware needed to install.
Each box has two brackets!!
1. Don't use vertical braces over five feet. The weight (I cut my wood at 20 inches) of the wood can torque the end and break the plastic brackets.
2. Be careful in very cold weather, they are plastic and become somewhat fragile
3. I use treated lumber for the cribs. You have to let it sit outside sometimes for a few days to dry out and shrink a little to fit in to the brackets

The product came already to use, just add 2 x 4s. I had one in the past and brought another one. If there were to be any improvements it would be to add some screws and pre-drilled holes so that the rack is easier to move once it is assembled. Great idea since it can be made to fit any area just by cutting the 2 x 4s to the desired length.

We did not need a log rack, but did need an Empty Drum rack for our plastic drums. I shopped for these online after seeing them in another home improvement store that advertises “Lowe” prices. They said it was a special order item since no longer an in-store item. Home Depot had them at a lower price with the S&H included. They were easy to assemble and work perfect.

The fastest way to build a lumber rack. Simply insert 2x4s into the sturdy plastic end pieces and you're ready to stack. Holds one face cord.

I have a large firewood shed that is away from the house and wanted something closer to the door as we have had some icy winters. This was easy to assemble, cut lengths that would fit the location and then added additional 2 x 4's to divide to have a separate kindling area. Even made a top. Versatile product, inexpensive and would definitely recommend.

We had a few left over 2x4's and found the perfect use. Pulled brackets out of the box, made a couple cuts for the sides/ends to be 4ft high, and slid the 2x4's in place. Done. Full cord of wood stacked in perfectly and ready for the cold winter days!
