I was happy to be able to do a project on my own. So I went to home depot got the required 2x4's for the "perfect" fit. Well not 1 of the 4 upright 2x4's fit in the brackets. Back to the store to return.

Just assembled it. Took ten minutes. Bought three pressure-treated 2X4's at Home Depot and got them cut in halves there in the store. Fit fine. Seems sturdy, stable so far. Will write again if that changes. Used the ShelterLogic 4' cover. Fits fine as well. Not bad.

This is the second set of these gizmos I have purchased. A set of these, a couple of treated 2 X 4's and a saw and you have a neat pile of wood ready for the fireplace. The 2 X 4 fit is a little sloppy but the strength of the structure full of wood is great. For the money, you can't beat it!

The wood rack is subjected to failure if you try and stack a large quantity of wood. The rack has to be level and flat.

Adjustable rack that is customizable to fit anywhere you need.
We built off of the bracket kit and the upward 2x4s to create a custom cover to keep our wood dry as well.

This product is reasonably priced and works as designed. Add a few 2x4's and you have a ready made, economical firewood rack where you want it. I see it as a seasonal use item not a long term fixture. I plan to store it for warm weather and set it back up for wood burning season. I expect, if handled properly, I can get a few seasons of use from it.

I was skeptical of how tight the fit of the 2X4s would be, having read reviews of other mfg's brackets, but these fit perfectly.

I used garage length studs. I used one bracket in the middle of span. It works near perfect for an easy sizing of 4'. I cut 1 in half for the uprights & added a 2x4 block across the top to hold the bottom dimension true. Easy to figure how much wood you have that way. Every three sections 16"x4'x4' = a face chord. x3= a full chord
