My location 45 miles north of Chicago. My first ShelterLogic 10x20 Canopy was fairly decent. It was up for just under 3 years until a bad spring storm took it out. After disassembling I noticed the poles were so-so new looking. It lasted through one snowfall of 13 inches, tho I was diligent keeping the snow off. So since I got that much use out of it I bought another.__
This one barely lasted 1 year before the tarp started shredding. No storm, just normal weather that whole year. The poles were rusting REALLY-REALLY bad.__
OK, so now I'm on number 3 canopy and this one has lasted 6 months and it's shredding. The seams are coming undone and even the poles are bending with average winds. Replacement tarps prices are absolutely ridiculous.__
Too bad there isn't MINUS STARS, it get a MINUS-3... yes, THAT BAD!!!+!

Was pretty easy to set up, an extra pair of hands is needed.

It definitely takes two to set it up, but set up is not hard. The shelter is great, but you really need to anchor this to an immovable object (mine was the garage), so that it doesn't 'skate' across the driveway or yard. This is my second one. The first ended up wrapped around a tree in a wind storm. I love the shelter and it seems to stay cooler under this rather than a colored canopy. Very pleased with this product.

Don't get this product. Won't last a small gust of wind.

Had to screw all pieces together with self tappers. The product didn't want to stay together on its own. After screwing it all it works good.

our Illinois backyard is direct sun with no shade at all. We purchased this to add shade, we even bought the screen kit to keep mosquitos off our toddler this summer. The whole thing acts like a giant kite or sail in even the slightest wind. We had staked down the screen but it still would lift off, stretched out the screen and caused tears. I tried resetting it up several times with same results. This last time it damaged our fence. DO NOT BUY!!! Waste of money

I purchased this item in 2012 for a party and recently felt inspired to transform it lol. Its an excellent product. I have never taken it down. Its been stranding up since 6/2012 which includes super storm sandy. Its very important to anchor the canopy correctly otherwise wind will cause it to lift up. I would purchase it again and highly recommend anyone that owns this to change it to their specifications like I did :-) That bright aluminum white is the perfect canvas.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CadillacGuy It will do the job!
I live very close to the beach, like 3 blocks and the Mexico golf in South Florida is windy year round that's why I had to buy extra anchors to secure it on the sandy ground. I'm sure it will collapse with 20 mph winds but the good thing about it is that even my wife can take the top in 5 min and it will not suffer any damage. About assembling, my 10 years old son help was necessary and enough to finish in about 1 hour. I think that the purchase was a good move and the money was a bargain. Yes quality is not top of the line but it will do the job.
