They seem to be polyurethane or fiberglass but not steel. They are durable and sturdy. They will be the least of your concern.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy purchase...and quick delivery We were really impressed with the quick delivery of this order/product. The product was not hard to build but it is a challenge to move after it is put together. July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful Doesn't stay together & is frustrating: as you get one side down the other side comes apart. And there is NO locking mechanism so they stay in place. Very flimsily made. June 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Buy the anchor kit which is sold separately but shouldn't be. The canopy was easy to assemble but it was up about a week before a strong gust of wind completely ripped it out of the ground. Last night, same thing. Today I ordered a set of anchors which seems as though should be included with the product. The feet are easy to anchor into the ground with some spikes I had but the legs come out of the feet with any gust of wind. June 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy! Well made, well packaged and easy set up! Would buy again. Very happy! July 31, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Good For Florida Heat This canopy is secured to the frame by small bungee fasteners that cannot withstand Florida heat. They stretch, dry out, then break within months of setup. The canopy itself is prone to dry rot, tearing, and shredding. I purchased my original canopy in June 2011, had to warranty replace it through the manufacturer in November 2011, and now the replacement they sent and which I installed in February 2012 has holes and tears (it's March 2012) where it touches the frame. Most of the bungee fasteners are broken and layiing on the ground. I do a lot of wordworking and was hoping to use this as a shade, but I have given up. It was like throwing money into a fire. Great idea but there is no quality here and it is not for hot climates. April 1, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 1 of 2 were ok I purchased two of these tents for an outdoor party. Both were shipped in the factory packaging, however, one of the boxes was completely mangled and someone wrapped clear packing tape around it in an effort to hold it together. By the time it reached me there was a gaping hole in it. I don't know if it was a customer return or what, but I really don't think it should have been sold and shipped to someone in this condition. The first thing I did was open the box and take an inventory of all the pieces to make sure nothing had fallen out. Possibly due to the box being damaged, allowing parts to move around, a lot of the poles now have scratches all the way through the enamel paint leaving the steel exposed to moisture. Also, most of the poles were not completely painted and you could see the metal through the paint. Whoever was running the paint booth that day must have had a rough night. I would have called and complained but I needed the tent for the weekend so that wasn't really an option. The second tent though, arrived in perfect condition and all of the poles were sufficiently covered in paint. So, I guess it's a bit of a toss up. For the money, I really expected better quality than what I got with the first tent. The second tent is just ok. September 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy setup and good quality I used to borrow my friends canopy (same one) for family parties in my house and finally decided to purchase my own. I only use it occasionally since my association only allows for it to be out for a couple of days. I break it down every time and re-assemble it when needed (about 3 times a year). It is great for the summer parties we have that is under 90 degree weather and rains occasionally. October 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Spring/Summer/Fall Canopy I bought this canopy to cover my 23' boat during the summer season and it fits well. The tubing is smaller than other models out there but holds up well. My one complaint is that it does not contain any hardware for securing the canopy other than the flanges. This means you will need to secure the roof trusses down to the flanges (I lag bolt them to a 20' 2x10 on each side) to prevent the canopy from taking off with a gust of wind. Other than that its a great product! June 10, 2014
