This canopy is secured to the frame by small bungee fasteners that cannot withstand Florida heat. They stretch, dry out, then break within months of setup. The canopy itself is prone to dry rot, tearing, and shredding. I purchased my original canopy in June 2011, had to warranty replace it through the manufacturer in November 2011, and now the replacement they sent and which I installed in February 2012 has holes and tears (it's March 2012) where it touches the frame. Most of the bungee fasteners are broken and layiing on the ground. I do a lot of wordworking and was hoping to use this as a shade, but I have given up. It was like throwing money into a fire. Great idea but there is no quality here and it is not for hot climates.

I purchased two of these tents for an outdoor party. Both were shipped in the factory packaging, however, one of the boxes was completely mangled and someone wrapped clear packing tape around it in an effort to hold it together. By the time it reached me there was a gaping hole in it. I don't know if it was a customer return or what, but I really don't think it should have been sold and shipped to someone in this condition. The first thing I did was open the box and take an inventory of all the pieces to make sure nothing had fallen out. Possibly due to the box being damaged, allowing parts to move around, a lot of the poles now have scratches all the way through the enamel paint leaving the steel exposed to moisture. Also, most of the poles were not completely painted and you could see the metal through the paint. Whoever was running the paint booth that day must have had a rough night. I would have called and complained but I needed the tent for the weekend so that wasn't really an option.
The second tent though, arrived in perfect condition and all of the poles were sufficiently covered in paint. So, I guess it's a bit of a toss up. For the money, I really expected better quality than what I got with the first tent. The second tent is just ok.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bert Easy setup and good quality
I used to borrow my friends canopy (same one) for family parties in my house and finally decided to purchase my own. I only use it occasionally since my association only allows for it to be out for a couple of days. I break it down every time and re-assemble it when needed (about 3 times a year). It is great for the summer parties we have that is under 90 degree weather and rains occasionally.

I bought this canopy to cover my 23' boat during the summer season and it fits well. The tubing is smaller than other models out there but holds up well. My one complaint is that it does not contain any hardware for securing the canopy other than the flanges. This means you will need to secure the roof trusses down to the flanges (I lag bolt them to a 20' 2x10 on each side) to prevent the canopy from taking off with a gust of wind. Other than that its a great product!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pinkdress Purchase heavy duty anchors for this product!
The instructions are easy to follow, set up is also easy.
I had a slight unexpected small storm and the anchors did not hold. A burst of wind picked up the canopy and after getting caught on two neighbors gutters, & tumbling down the street, it only had three tears about 6 inches long. The poles were strudy enough to withstand the tumbling across the street.
The material is waterproof and strong! The tubing is very sturdy and durable. The few anchors which come with the kit are tiny and worthless. Buy good anchors for this product!!!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bob27 Needs better quality control
the unit was delivered when promised. Didn't install it for a few days needed it for a party. After figuring out the direcions, layed all the parts out in seperate piles and counted to make sure all was there. Started to assemble, found that a lot of the bent parts were not reshaped after bending and were out of round. This made it diffucult to assemble many of the parts. I was able to put the top portion together by myself but needed help to put the legs on and raise it into position. The cover went on with no problems and secured to the frame well. It did survive one storm with no problems.
Disassembly was ok, but again the out of round parts made it diffacult to take apart. No rust was detected and no parts were damaged. I was actually able to put it back in the box.
Overal the unit worked as described, the poor quality control made it diffucult to assemble and disassemble. Luckly I had the tools to repair some of the fittings or I may have returned it for a new one.
