Customer Questions & Answers

Can this product also be disassembled easily?

I will be using for summer only. Will I be able to assemble it and disassemble it for the winter?
Asked by: Dave
If you plan disassembly you should consider putting thin layer of grease on the tube part that goes inside of the next tube. I also use a tiny bit of oil on bolt threads used outdoors that I want to take apart years later.

What amount of wind force can it withstand?

Asked by: Anonymous
Our shed was secured by four anchors that were cemented into the ground. We live on the side of a hill overlooking a river. There were winds and at least one rain storm with high winds. The shed did not blow away even though the roof was caved in and torn in places, and the door could not be zipped closed. I taped the door closed by wrapping duct tape arond the entire front, and up and down across the zipper opening. I think the shed holds up well in the wind. Just not good in snow storms.

I cannot find my paperwork and would like to know if the outer shell is available?
Asked by: Peter
See the shelter logic web site for a replacement cover. Also available from other on line vendors. I have just learned that this cover comes in 4 progressively expensive, heavier and longer warranty time, up to 15 years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad for the money Needed a shed for storage of lawn mowers and bikes. Since we'll be moving, we didn't want to invest in a regular shed. Found this, and it serves it's purpose well. Fairly easy to assemble. Only issue is the front door and the back of the shed. Door does not roll up easily with one person. I fixed this by putting a wooden one inch diameter rod in the pocket at the bottom of the door. Surprised since the pockets there, they didn't supply something. Also I put a rod in the pocket at the back of the shed to keep it from flapping in the wind. Again, surprised since the pockets there, they didn't supply something. I also purchased additional stakes to help hold it down. For my needs, I'd definitely buy again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shape not reccomended for locations with heavy snow fall. For the price and ease of assembly, this unit is probably good in a snowless area of the country, but not where ther is snow. I met someone else who had a similar experience. Unless, you are able to scrape the roof periodically night and day during a snow storm. One storm, we were unable to scrape the roof. I thought, because the unit is shaped similar to a house, that the snow would slide down the sides of the roof onto the ground. My unit was 15'x20', but the same shape/design; so there would not have been more snow per square inch of area. It only took one snow storm without scraping the snow away to destroy the top. The top caved in, bending the poles and tearing the fabric on a sharp opject and on the sharp area where the pole bent. Once the center caved in, there was too much weight for us to push the center back up and get the snow out of the caved area. Plus, the poles were bent so they would have had to be replaced in order to hold the roof up. Not a winter job. Also, once the snow melted, the water was very heavy. We tried to siphen the water from the ourside but could not get all the water out. The the water froze, and then it rained. I finally poked a hole in the roof from the inside and drained the water through the hole. Then I took the unit to the dump. A neighbor has had a round top storage unit that is very similar for years and it appears to have heald up wonderfully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ok Fairly easy to put together. Decent instructions. I did it alone, I would reccomend help. One thing that I did not like is the bolts are made of aluminum and they will snap with any sideways force. There again if I had help I woudln't of had any sideways force. I would reccomend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value Good value and quality for the price. Definitely a 2 person job to assemble. Allow about 3hrs. Instructions should tell you in the beginning that you will have to undo the top supports later in the process. YouTube video is helpful beforehand, by a consumer. Check it out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shed in a Box When I started putting it together I thought it was a bit sloppy and loose fitting. After it was finished it was pretty sturdy and handled the storms that came through very well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for our needs We got this Shed in a Box to provide shelter for our four alpacas. It's just the right size for them, and was easy to assemble. I'm giving it four stars only because we haven't had it long enough to test its durability.
