Answer:
If you plan disassembly you should consider putting thin layer of grease on the tube part that goes inside of the next tube. I also use a tiny bit of oil on bolt threads used outdoors that I want to take apart years later.

Answer:
Yes, it can be disassembled for the winter. It won't be fun, but it's not meant to be a permanent structure so you should be able to put it up and take it down every year.

Answer:
Shelterlogic's 12x12x8 Shed in a Box can be easily disassembled and stored for the winter, although you can keep this up all year round. If you decide to keep this up for the winter, it is recommended you remove any snow accumulation from the roof.

You might want to measure the SUV to be sure it's below 12 foot. The measurements are spot on and you don't want part of your truck or SUV protruding out of the end of the portable shelter. Read Less

"The ShelterLogic 12' x 12' x 8' Shed in a Box is a temporary structure, therefore is not wind or snow load rated. It is important to properly anchor the unit and keep the cover tight and to check these regularly."

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shed that Saves We love this shed from it's appearance, structure, built, and quality. This saves my mini barn from different seasons. -WM www.mcm-nc.com May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great value for storage of non valuable items this is our 3rd shed in a box. our first served as shleter for a horse, then as storage. After 5 years it was time to retire it. Our second was a garage in a box which we did not get to use as it was needed for a donation to a family in need. they have had it for several years and appreciate the durability. This will be our replacement for the first. The only down side is putting it all together. doesn't always match up great, we had to redrill a couple holes. it will take 2 or 3 people to assemble. other than that, we have rated the value of this storage for what we use it for high compared to the cost of a full blown shed. We can replaced it for or five times in in the next 15 years and be ahead. there obviously is not any security for your items given this is a soft shell, but it does with stand the elements when assembled properly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. We needed to have something to store hay and it works perfectly. March 18, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NIGHTMARE!!!!! All I can say is NIGHTMARE! They sent wrong the instructions and parts. After we started putting the shed up we realized that we didn't have all the parts. We called StorageLogics and they were horrible. They wanted to charge us for the missing parts. Finally, after speaking to the supervisor they agreed to send us the parts so that we can complete our installation It seems to be something that occurs at this company a lot..they have their own missing parts department. Don't think this is only going to take 3 hours, try 6 hours at the least! One more complaint...they painted the metal so the parts will not slide together nicely, you have to hammer them in. April 23, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not for locations with snow or heavy wind Not designed for windy locations. My husband ended up having to brace it significantly to keep it in place. Once that was done, it has worked as desired. Fully expecting to have to take it down by winter as well, due to snow. May 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Buy!!! This is a poor product. While unfolding the tarp out of the box, we found the trap was ripped. The company shipped me a ripped tarp! I can't believe it!!! The ratchet strap broke while installing the shed. Finally I was at my last step...I need to install a brace at the bottom of the shed and I am 3 inches off. One month later I still am unable to align the last brace with a bolt. Sometimes in life you just need to move on and learn from past experiences. I hope that you will be able to learn from my experience and not experience it yourself! November 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Control is Lacking Just received my 12x12x8 shed. Unpacked, took inventory, then began assembling. I was putting together the second end piece when I noticed that one of the pole ends had been damaged (shortened) during manufacturing, and the drilled hole ended up precariously close to the end of the pole. Disappointed, I called Shelterlogic. I got a human almost right away. She was VERY nice, and sent out a replacement pole immediately, free of charge. While their QA process needs to be improved, their customer service is first class. All of the other materials seemed of good quality, but I obviously haven't assembled the shed yet. If you order a Shelterlogic shed, when it arrives, TAKE INVENTORY FIRST. Will update when shed is complete. May 8, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad for the money Needed a shed for storage of lawn mowers and bikes. Since we'll be moving, we didn't want to invest in a regular shed. Found this, and it serves it's purpose well. Fairly easy to assemble. Only issue is the front door and the back of the shed. Door does not roll up easily with one person. I fixed this by putting a wooden one inch diameter rod in the pocket at the bottom of the door. Surprised since the pockets there, they didn't supply something. Also I put a rod in the pocket at the back of the shed to keep it from flapping in the wind. Again, surprised since the pockets there, they didn't supply something. I also purchased additional stakes to help hold it down. For my needs, I'd definitely buy again. September 17, 2013
