Answer:
They can be used on outdoor furniture, assuming they fit and can be tightened all the way. Although, it also depends what surface they would be used on. Check to make sure they don't scratch or dent your surface before applying them to the furniture.

I have a wood floor and many dining and bar stools on my wood floor. Would this be a good solution to not mark or wear the floor or would felt pads be a better solution? My problem isn't with chairs moving but protecting the floor.

Answer:
Felt pads would be a better option to protect your floors from marking. These surface pads are designed to prevent movement.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product I make cedar floor mats to be used at entry doors, or in bathrooms as a "spa style" bath tub mat. Originally, they were potentially slippery on smooth decks, or tiled floors. This product stopped that problem cold! The anti-skid pads are set just "proud" (approximately 1/8") of the bottom frame of the mat. (I use a 1" Forstner bit to drill the appropriate depth hole, and then glue the pad in the hole). Accordingly, the mats are rock solid, and safe to use, even with wet feet. I love 'em, and so do the recipients of my mats. Two thumbs up!!! September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleased! These were very easy to install and work very well! We just painted our living room and every time our son and his friends sat in these armchairs they ended up pressed up against the wall and damaging the paint. I am happy to say that they stay put. Very pleased! June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Anti Skid rubber ring These are very small antiskid rubber rings and the legs on my sofa are large so I put four of these on each leg of two sofas. It's great that you screw them on they worked great. Wonderful product my sofas have not budged you can even flop on the sofa and they still don't move!!! Thumbs up for this product!!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy Duty Anti-Skid Pads work perfectly! Installation was easy. These were for day care chairs, which the kids were rocking back and forth in and sliding over to where they would. That has all come to a screeching halt, as was desired. February 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Work great on tile floors We recently had wood look tile installed in our house. Our recliners would slide anytime someone would sit down. We installed these anti-ski pads and the recliners do not move at all. We tried the stick-on pads, but they would not last more than a week. These pads are great and are screw mounted. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked just like they should Put these on the feet of a leather sectional sofa, chair and ottoman to keep them from sliding on the new tile floor in our home. Three pads on each foot of the furniture, to replace the three nylon pads that had been there originally did the trick. I was done in less than an hour. January 17, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well I used these under a dresser sitting on a wood floor and it works well. January 10, 2012
