Answer:
That is how I used it, on the side of the door where the hinges are. I did cut it where the hinges are, but it covers the rest of the vertical edge.

Answer:
Don't use glue! Just slide it on since you might want to remove it to clean hard water buildup every couple of months. I used the old one to measure and cut the new one with strong scissors.

Answer:
I did not use any glue, as it is a really tight fit on the edge of the glass door. I used a small hacksaw to cut it and finished it with sandpaper

Answer:
Once installed on the edge of the glass door, it covers a gap 9 mm wide. This includes the thickness of the seal base.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install and works as described. October 25, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cuts easily Better value than the 36". I can get 3 pieces out of this, which is helpful since it only lasts about a year. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sure did the job! Worked fine....completely took care of the leaking shower door. July 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product This seal did exactly what I was looking for, that is create a barrier to water splashes at the hinged side of my shower glass door. The gap was about 8-9 mm wide and the seal wiper covered it, without much margin. No more water leaks on the door sill, by the hinges. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good customer service Product was extremely simple to install - cut to fit and it just slips over the edge of the glass. But kudos to the Home Depot on line order fulfillment squad. I ordered two pieces of different style; the long side seal and the door bottom seal which arrived damaged at my local Home Depot pick up counter. Staff was extremely helpful and communicated with me every other day concerning the replacement piece. I felt well served even after having to wait for the replacement part. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by On line ordering was easy. Only problem is that it is not stocked, in a HD store, and you need to order on line. February 23, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install. You need to order two sides. Works well but you need to order enough to cover two sides, one for the glass door and another for the glass frame. I have a 6 foot glass door so the 98 inch piece is not enough to cover both. January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Installation This seal is made for the side of the shower door that swings open. The old seal that I replaced had flexible "blades" on both the front and back of the seal; this seal only has one. Although I had some concern about the difference when I installed it, I have not observed any leaks. It was easy to cut and install the new seal. September 15, 2015
