Depends on just how much texture you're talking about. Our old house has walls with some texture and this product worked really well.

Our walls are an orange-peel texture and it worked extremely well. I think it would work with walls with a little more texture than ours. It is a great product and well worth giving it a try.

The Shur Line pads sold at home depot are all the same thickness and should cover textured walls. Take a look at the pads and see if the bristles are long enough for your wall's texture. I'd give it a shot.

Answer:
I don't believe it specifically advises against it, but I agree with a previous reply... very difficult to get enough paint loaded on the thin pad for textured walls, and if you do, it bleeds over onto the wheels, creating a messy line.

Answer:
Very difficult on textured walls. If the pad is not perfectly saturated with paint, then it bleeds all over the front wheels and through the plastic pad keeper. The swivel head is also a poor design when pushing up against flat surfaces, as it likes to go all over the place. Get the 500 model and skip this one..

Answer:
Yes it does, I have 2 one with retractable spacers(wheels) and one with non retractable spacers(wheels), I use them both on textured walls and ceilings, covers very good. Make sure you screet the pad after dipping in paint, cuts down on drippage. Oh and don't push too hard as you paint, has tendency to drip and get paint on wheels.

My store sells the replacement pads and they are hanging right next to the edger. This is a great product that cuts the trim time in less than half.

Jean, as Home Depot said they do not ship to France, you should try Amazon's French website.
Search for "shur-line" and you will find it. Good luck!

6.8 in. x 3 in. Pro Paint Edger is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 173.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, this thing is great! I was a little skeptical about this edger but since we were painting the whole inside of our house and edging takes so much time I decided to try it. I was blown away by how well it works. Takes a a few strokes to get the hang of loading it properly, not too much or too little paint, and then you can trim out a wall, along the ceiling, baseboards, door and window trim with little effort. You do have to be careful to pull back the guide rollers when loading it with paint so you don't get paint on them, and I would wipe the leading edge with a damp cloth each time I loaded the edger. I bought extra pads and when the edger started to not work as well I changed out the pad. I used about one pad per large room. Well worth the cost.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I conditionally recommend this product if certain techniques or "tricks" are used to cut-in. Firs... I conditionally recommend this product if certain techniques or "tricks" are used to cut-in. First, this gadget won't save you time. If you are just mediocre at cutting in walls and you have a decent paint, just cut in. I bought a very poor paint (Behr i100) and used this product to control the paint so as not to run. Second, watch Youtube videos regarding this product before you start. Okay, "trick" number one: Don't overload the brush...Obvious? If you don't think you have enough paint on the brush, you probably have too much. Each application may cover only 12 to 18 inches, seriously, this is most import. Next, hit the wall 2 to 3 inches from your cut-in and move diagonally to your cut-in line, run your 12 to 18 inch line and push back out diagonally. Pick up more paint from where you first hit the wall and repeat in the opposite direction. Done, that's 12 to 18 inches of cut-in, similar procedure used when cutting in with a standard brush. Good luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this. Wouldn't want to paint without it. To me the worst part of painting is wall prep and edging. Using painting tape works but requires more prep than i honestly want to deal with plus paint often bleeds underneath with slightly texted walls like we have in our old house. This tool makes it so much easier. Its great that the little black wall guides pull back for when you need to reload, just remember to do it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So So Pro Paint Edger I recommend this product ONLY if you patient and can take your time with it. Make sure you dont dip the device too far into the paint and get paint on the edge other wise the device doesn't serve a purpose. There has to be a better way to do edges than with a Brush and this device is just NOT there yet. Like I stated IF you have time and can be VERY gentle and "methodical" try it out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I was hesitant to try this edger, because painting an edge can be a tedious job, and I was skeptical an inexpensive product could be helpful. So glad I made the purchase. I used a brush to apply the paint to the edger, as recommended by another reviewer. The paint went on evenly and helped me complete several rooms of edging in record time!

I needed to paint along the ceiling of my very high stairwell, which I could not reach by ladder. Unfortunately, using this product on an extension pole does not work. You simply cannot get the correct amount of pressure on the entire surface to apply paint consistently. *fail*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy lines Very easy to make professional edges along ceilings, doors and windows as long as you don't get paint on the wheels. Make sure to blend the bottom in right away with a roller so no drops or heavy lines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well I hate to tape and I suck at cutting in. This worked great. Barely needed to tape the room. Wonderful. Just have to be careful not to put to much paint on it at one time. Will make a mess.
