7 in. Handi Painter Paint Pad is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a smooth finish I use these pads all the time. Nothing works better on doors and woodwork, especially where you want a smooth finish with no brush marks or those little pocks that rollers leave. These are fast and easy, produce a nice even coat, and they're cheap enough to throw away when you're done.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adhesive fails with oil based stains Used this to stain deck railings. Worked well for the job, but after awhile the adhesive holding the pad to the styrofoam handle failed. Think it was a combination of the stain breaking down the adhesive and the heat of the sun. Would likely still choose this over other tools that are available as it works great until it fails...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from useful for applying sealer to slate mosaic tile backsplash Used this to apply penetrating sealer to a slate mosaic tile backsplash. Size was good because it spanned several tiles. Worked well, held just the right amount of sealer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from to my surprise this turned out to be the best tool for both my porch & the new boards 4 the utility trailer I bought this & a specialty deck tool that cost 7 times as much which was supposed to get between the deck boards to apply Thompson's Waterproofing & Stain transparent Maple. This worked so much better than the more expensive tool. I had also bought a thick roller cover but decided against it because of the splatter factor & not wanting to cover my siding. This tool is the perfect size for 5/4 decking boards. It also gives you the most control of any of the options. I wanted a nice even application that the wood grain would show through so control was key. I did need a paint brush to do between the boards & cut in. Did I mention this porch was built of PT wood 10 years ago when 1 of the original 1850's porch support beams fell out from both rot & carpenter ant damage. I sanded the whole thing because of stains. It's only about 8 by 10 + stairs. Even though I was about 8 years late in getting it done It turned out great. I will buy another to do the back porch since after 5 washes some little pieces have come off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay for simple fill-in Worked fine in small areas, but not good for edging as I'd hoped

Rated 1 out of 5 by from fell apart, little bristles came out into the paint, and pad was sticking to the wall like glue I painted and thought it was ok. But when the sun light hit the surface I could see thousands of little hair like bristles embeded into the paint. I had to sand all that mess off. I then used a 4 inch foam hot dog roller and that worked fine. The pad also wanted to stick to the surface unless loaded with lots of paint. It took a lot of force to keep the pad moving. For whatever reason it did not like the Behr paint. The on positive was I was able to make a very smooth surface of paint. I also got paint all over my hands using it, the paint would load up on the edges of the pad and get on the styrofoam handle and all over my fingers. Since it was dragging, I snapped one of the corners.
