Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Just use a sprayer Tried this on my deck and will not purchase again. The first night I spent a few hours staining one small section of rails and flooring (maybe 1/4 of the total deck). The next day, I got a cheap pump sprayer and finished the remaining rails, flooring, and steps, and cleaned everything up - all in less than 2 hours, far less time than using this pad the previous night. I thought it would at least help on rails, but the sprayer did a better and faster job there, too. If your flooring is very smooth, it goes on decent. But for older decks with rougher wood, it just takes too long to use. For rails that you cannot spray, just use an old throwaway brush. In short, I see no benefit to this pad over a sprayer (even a cheap one). Maybe if your stain/sealant is too thick to use a sprayer with, but if that is the case, use a thick nap roller instead. Also, the replacement pads are problematic. The plastic tabs that lock the pad in are flimsy and bend, making the replacement pads move around. Once the cheap plastic tabs bend, you can't fix it, other than place it non-gently in the trash can. May 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did not work well The Deck pad kept snagging on some board in the deck causing lines in the stain. May 17, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stain pad Not bad but wish they would come in this size for painting and not just staining. May 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed Review Overall it completed the stain job we were doing but the top kept sliding off and it made a mess trying to put it back on. the pad works great and applied the stain evenly without much effort. if the handle part attached better it would be an awesome product. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No substitute Still prefer a brush or roller. Awkward to load up. Awkward to use. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great. No problems with the pad slipping. I used this to spread sealer on my brick patio. Unlike some reviewers, I didn't have any issues with the pad slipping off. In fact, when I got it I tried to dislodge the pad because I read the reviews in advance and couldn't do it. I don't know if I got a good one or the other reviewers got a bad one, but my experience was good. It did the job, cleaned up nicely, and I'll use it again if the situation comes up. February 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shur line This product was a waste of money it kept coming off the stick every time we tried to paint the bottom price would slip off. We ended up having to buy a roller to finish the job. February 1, 2016
