Flex Corner Painter is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so Helpful Corner Painter it's Ok to do the outside corners as long as the the sponge is not shedding and you don't mind applying paint multiple times. Your hands are going to be covered in paint no matter how careful you are. Flex Corner Painter is essentially a thing sponge that is attached to a piece of plastic. The sponge has small and short bristles that easily fall off. Sadly, those bristles end up in the layer of paint that was applied to a wall or corner. It does a horrible job with the inside corners or maybe I completely don't know how to use the product. The concept of the product is good, the quality and performance are bad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shur-Line Flex Corner or Paint Brush It look like it would it work well but it didn’t meet any of my expectation. I uses other products by Shur-Line and really like their product line. So I took a chance in getting this to see it was easier than a old method with a paint brush. It was hard to load the paint evenly on the pad. If you did load it up it would drip on the floor or on the baseboard. That's not a good thing. I spent too much time trying to get paint on pad and put on paint on the wall. I went back to the paint brush due to a lot less work and less frustration. Save you money and use a paint brush.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't do the job...! Nice in theory. Looks like it will work like a charm, but even if you get the paint load right (to avoid the errant drip onto your molding or floor), you only end up with about an inch and a half of trim. In short, don't bother with this tool. Get the Shur-Line flat trim pad instead (the cheap one, not the fancy one). It can do corners, is much easier to use, and gives you a nice wide cut-in so you can roll with ease. I bought one of these thinking I could easily do my inside (and my outside) corners. I was unable to get the proper paint loading and kept dripping excess paint. I finally got so frustrated that I just threw it away. Didn't even care to go to the trouble to try and take it back to the store. However, even had I gotten the proper loading down, I would have had to manually cut-in with a brush on top of this because it only provides about an inch and a half of trim. Not enough to roll in a corner without hitting the opposing wall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke within the first half hour This looked like the perfect tool for my needs, painting a room with a lot of corners, some in very tight spaces, but the thing broke long before I could finish the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a winner I like new gadgets/tools, so I wanted to like this product. However, based on my experience using it on inside corners with Valspar Drywall Primer, it was slower and messier than using a brush. The build quality seemed fine -- I've used other Shur-Line pad products and this was as well made as any -- but it was difficult to get a uniform layer of paint on two adjoining walls/ceiling and the applicator couldn't carry much paint. Perhaps the primer was thicker than the paint this applicator was designed for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works ok. I have a Shur-Line edger that uses the same brush material so I've had a lot of practice with them. The corner painter works pretty well if you are patient with your application of paint. I normally gently drip the painter into the tray, move it back and forth gently, and then use the edge of the tray to wipe of excess. If you don't dip the painter in enough then not all the bristles get covered so you have to keep re-painting the same spots. Too much and paint will drip when you start to paint the corners. Another trick is to edge with one hand and hold a wipe in the other in case of drips. I normally try to go up vs down so I can see the leading edge and if paint is accumulating so I can stop a drip before it happens. The packaging doubles as a paint tray as well which is a nice feature.
