Rated 5 out of 5Â by Marvinthemartian I did not think this would work.
I am painting my bathroom and hate painting so bought this lid thinking it would not work . I have been using plastic wrap shoved down on the pain to keep if from hardening. This worked. A little hard to seal the one gallon paint can but when I popped the top the next day, no skin on the paint!

I figured I'd give this a try. I've wasted plenty of money on gimmicks, what's one more. Boy was I wrong! Works exactly as described. So quick and easy to use. I did not use to store paint, but pouring with NO MESS was AWESOME!

i wish i would have made it. i wrote this to tell you to buy it. i told my girlfriend that somewhere out there i would find what i described , then 2 days later at the store there it was bought 2 that day. then left paint in it for 3 months (at the time figured it would be a week tops) still good like day i mixed it. just pop the breather so you dont unknowingly break seal when you fold down spout. and if allready dirted the can clean it so there is a air tight seal when installing on can. check to make sure still tight at end of day then store.

I'm skeptical about painting gimmicks, most are a waste of money. But this is great. It takes the mess out of pouring paint, keeps the top edge of the can clean when you want to replace the original lid, Paint stores just fine without drying out (at least for the duration of a project, I wouldn't store it permanently using this lid), it's very easy to clean up and it's very inexpensive. I recommend this.
