Does this afci breaker suffer from alot of nuisance trips?
Asked by: Peter
I dont care what this guy says, these were installed by a licensed electrician in our new construction home per "code" on certain circuits in 2015. guess which are the only circuits that ever trip? . my wife cannot even use her hair drier on a circuit fed by these breakers, awful, will be replacing with non arc fault breakers.

I know this doesn't provide Class A GFCI protection (against shocks), but in terms of ground faults - am I correct that this breaker will immediately trip if turned on when a ground fault is present? That is, it can't/won't function at all if a persistent (as opposed to arcing) ground fault is present?
Asked by: Matt
Matt, You are correct, if there is any Ground Fault present in the circuit this breaker will trip and will not allow the circuit to be energized as long as the GF is present.

I noticed that Home Depot has discontinued underneath the Siemens QA115AFC breaker on your site page. Is this true you have discontinued it, and if yes why?
Asked by: sieman
The Siemens second generation of AFCI's or the QA115AFCP has not been discontinued. The version you saw may have been an old version of the breaker.
