Customer Questions & Answers

The specifications indicate the height is 6. Does that mean the housing is 6 inches deep and therefore this can't be used in a 2x4 framed wall?

Asked by: John
I went to the manufactures web site and it listed the depth at 3.88 inches. It appears the HD description is wrong.

Does this unit come with the 100 amp breakers?

Asked by: joesilver
This Siemens P1224B1100CU Load Center comes with a factory installed 100 Amp Main Breaker. No other branch circuit breakers are included. I hope that this answers your question.

Customer Reviews

PL Series 100 Amp 12-Space 24-Circuit Main Breaker Indoor Load Center is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great small service panel I used this to replace a 50 year old Bulldog "Pushmatic" 100 amp panel and subpanel. It was wire spaghetti inside with old wires cut but not removed and neutrals that weren't quite screwed down. And no main breaker! The subpanel had a single ground/neutral bus with no way to separate the two, meaning there was no true ground. The knockouts on the back of this panel didn't fit my 1 1/4" galvanized service feed pipe. I used a rubber gasket to cover the gap and a copper wire clamp around the pipe for a 6 gauge wire to bond the panel to it. The aluminum screw clamp for the neutral has a round end. This doesn't make for a tight connection with stranded wire. I chose to file it flat. I also didn't like that the screws for the main breaker are live and exposed (I could imagine accidentally hitting one with a ground wire when running a new cable) so I covered them with electrical tape. The two ground buses are close to the edge of the box so use a long bit extension when tightening them with a drill. Also the screws do not turn easily so make sure the wire is really tight when your drill starts clicking. As you would expect, the room in this modern panel makes for an easy and clean installation. It's a relief to have that old panel out of my house.
