Have seen 6ft X 8ft tarps with a "cut" dimension of 6ft by 8ft but after they fold the edges, the "true" dimensions are more like 5 1/2ft X 7 1/2ft. Hate to waste time taking out of package at home and finding it's not "true" size. Thanks.

Answer:
Well, I went ahead a purchased 2 of these tarps and I can say that if they are not exactly 6' X 8' exactly, they are darn close. Extremely satisfied. Tarps are heavy-duty with non-metal, heavy-duty grommets. Well worth the money!

Answer:
Sigman 6 ft. x 8 ft. Brown Silver Heavy Duty Tarp is a finished size tarp. However, due to tarp's large size and inherent manufacturing margin of error, the tarp's actual sizes are usually within -/+1 to 3 inches of its nominal sizes.

Answer:
Yes but . . . these are plastic tarps and if it gets very hot (100+) and they are in the sun, you could have plastic attach to the bike.

Answer:
Assuming the dimension given is 62 in (L) x 29.5 (W) x 38 (Height), a 5 ft. x 7 ft. tarp is not large enough if you want the tarp to drape down on the side for full 38 inches. To fully cover the bike including the sides, you need to have a minimum length of 38 + 62 + 38 = 138 inches and a minimum width of 38 + 29.5 + 38 = 105.5 inches. Translating to feet, you will need a tarp of approximate size of 12 Read More

Translating to feet, you will need a tarp of approximate size of 12 ft x 9 ft. If you don't need the tarp to fully drape all the way down on the sides, you might want to try a slightly smaller size such as 10 ft x 8 ft.
BTW, when selecting a tarp, try to use a heavy duty tarp if possible. In general a heavy duty tarp is stronger and has better UV resistance. Read Less

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Brown plastic tarps Other than the fact that HD took 3 weeks to get the tarps, they are as advertised. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great protection for the value Great protection for my outdoor equipment. Nice color that blends well with other things on my balcony. And the price is also welcoming ! July 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product and price This was an excellent product. It provides excellent coverage. November 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome tarp! Since it's cheaper than what I buy from some store, I didn't expect that I'll actually get a better quality tarp. The grommet holes are all around the tarp which made it so easy to attach. I placed it all around my canopy, so I can utilize the space inside during winter months. Top notch quality! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice color and seems thick ... Used it to cover my central air conditioning unit as it is too large for the normal covers. The color blends with the brick on my home, and it seems thick enough to hold up for years to come. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy duty tarp Truly heavy duty, good grommets and a silvered side to reflect heat. August 18, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This product is not as it was advertised. The tarps seem like good quality but will not work for what I bought them for as I have to have a tarp that is 6 feet wide. These were advertised as 6 feet wide as a finished size. It measures 5 feet 10 inches which will not help me. It is too much trouble to send back so I will keep them to cover up a wood pile or something. June 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by this product was exactly what we need to cover our steps when we returned to Canada for the summer very good quality and just the right size for the job we needed it to do April 30, 2013
