Are you able to put two gates together so your fence can have a bigger entrance?
Asked by: Runkidsx3
Yes, I used 2 and mounted a door stop on the door I use less along with the drop bar that sets down into the ground. I only needed to drill a very shallow hole for it because the doors are light.

can we make this gate 34 x 6 does all the harware for installation comes with it like a door to close and open

Asked by: Erwin
The gate cannot be made shorted without major carpentry alteration. It would require dis-assembly of the lower panel. I would not recommend trying this. The gate mounting hardware must be purchased separately. I would recommend the product suggested by the Home depot web site.

My current gate that I must replace is 38" width. Can I still install this gate and bridge the gap somehow?

Asked by: 01amason
Perhaps you could put a filler piece against the post effectively narrowing the opening?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attractive, well-made gate, good price. The gate is solidly constructed and appeared just as expected. Great value for the price. Moderate weight made it easy to mount. Had one stain on 'B' side, apparently oil, but not bad enough to return, as I planned to stain the gate. Side rails are fairly narrow, so plan for appropriate hinges. Lattice at top takes patience to stain, plus a small brush for details. Tongue-and-groove panel 'floats' in the frame, so I suggest centering it as you like, then securing the two side boards top and bottom with small, stainless steel or galvanized finish nails. This will prevent a gap developing at either side, which does happen otherwise.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Who let this off the shop floor? The basic gate is all right. The wood looks nice and the design is good; it looks just like the picture. But the workmanship is sloppy. The excess glue oozed out of the joints and hardened in big globs at all four corners. The vertical slats in the lattice are stapled in crooked. There is a crack in one of the 1x4s. One side rail is a quarter inch high. If it had been made in my shop, I would not have let it leave, and whoever put it together would have had to do it over on his own time. I would have returned the gate to HD but I'm a bit pressed for time. I scraped off the excess glue and sanded the flaking grain, so it will be all right. but I recommend that anyone who buys one of these gates inspects it immediately before taking it home -- and returns it on the spot if it's as sloppy as mine.
