Bought this in the spring (5 months ago). Attached 4X4 pressure treated posts, one on each side and set in concrete blocks to stand up. I put brackets on the top of the 4X4's and wired that to the braces of the carport. Used it as a screen under my carport to hide the garbage cans, table saw, bikes, etc from view from the street. I put a cedar planter in front and it was beautiful, got lots of compliments, told lots of people where to go to get their own. Then we moved it just 12 inches forward and the bottom fell mostly off, which allowed the slats to fall out as they are just stuck into the groove at the top and the groove at the bottom. Without the bottom holding them, most of them fell out. And one side pulled away from the bottom piece, causing the bottom to drop. It's always been out of the weather under the carport.
It is held together by small staples. The sides and bottom and top by slightly bigger staples. Bottom line, it falls apart very easily. Not very well constructed. I have a handy man coming over to help me put this puzzle back together and secure with actual screws!
It is very pretty, but it is very fragile. I can only imagine what would happen if it was out in the elements. Once you have it set, don't touch it. Or once you get it home, put some screws in everything to hold it together.
Once we have it back together, I'm going to stain the slats, which weather a light color much faster than the frame, then stand it back up, wire it to the carport and put the cedar planter back in front. (Cedar planter I found hand made much much cheaper than what big box store want, and I can only imagine they would be stapled too for mass production.)

The fence panels have a 90day warranty I guess and at day 91 they fell apart. Don't waste your money.

We've had our fence panels for about 4 years now and they are holding up quite well except when my kids throw a baseball through one of the fence boards. Home Depot did not carry the correct T&G board so I called Signature Development and they are sending me a replacement board free of charge. Great customer service one rarely sees anymore!

Looks really good, get a lot of complements on it (from both people we know and complete strangers passing by). The construction was a little shoddy, but we tacked it with small nails as we deemed necessary here and there (especially around the lattice). Went up quickly and is doing the job. It's only been up one year, but the colors still look good after all the rain we get here in the NW.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Teresa Great/stylish pre-fab fence!
We installed 14 panels along our property line last year and we continue to get compliments from neighbors on how great it looks! Some of the reviews I've seen are pretty misleading. Yes, if you don't install the panels between fence posts or use/install them for any other purpose other than for what it was intended then the structural integrity of the panel will be compromised. Staining the fence is highly recommended to protect the wood from the elements, particularly given that the lattice top is made of thin cuts. I agree with one reviewer who stated that the manufacturer could improve the quality of the construction of the fence. Like picking from any lumbar yard, take the time inspect the inventory and take the well-built panels w/out flaws or damage.

Several of the panels delivered had defects and most started falling apart after a few months. We had to replace one panel entirely. The slats are loose and or falling out in several places due to bowing and warping of the material. The matching gate also falls apart even with gentile use. It is held together with nails which pull apart after a few days use at which time the gate drags on the sidewalk causing it to come apart further. If you buy these, make sure you inspect each panel before you buy. They give you a better deal with a pallet of 10 sections, but you can't inspect them this way. If you buy the gate, you should reinforce it before you hang it.

This is a beautiful fence. My husband is a builder and complained about the up close finish work- but all in all we are pleased with how it turned out. He did state that if they had better quality control or a higher standard he would be willing to pay more for each panel- hence the 4 stars. We oiled it after installing which only enhances the aesthetics and durability.
