I am wondering if this can used on the interior of a 1971 Shasta Camper to install vinyl corner round in all the joints? The frame of the camper is made of wood and there is paneling on the inside, will this work on both vinyl and wood? Also is it paintable with the Emerald brand of Sherwin Williams paint? Also, wondering if it is waterproof or do I need to add a sealant and primer in the joints, before using this adhesive to attach the vinyl quarter round? Thanks!
Asked by: Mimi
Hello and thank you for your question. Vinyl has a smooth surface so adhesion may be difficult to achieve. You can try roughening the surface of the vinyl before adhering it. It can be painted after a full cure (5 days) with a rubber, water, or oil based paint. SikaBond Construction Adhesive is waterproof.

Can I use this to adhere ceramic tile over old tile

Asked by: Dana
Hello and thank you for your question. Tiles have different surface finishes, bond can not be guaranteed. It has been done before in the past, we recommend the customer doing a bond test.

10.1 fl. oz. Construction Adhesive is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multiuse and excellent My dad turned me on to this stuff as he uses it at work. I used it to construct a triple subwoofer enclosure to prevent the fasteners from vibrating out and also to glue the pieces together and make for a very strong box. I also used this product on my waders' neoprene booties. The tape over the seams was tearing out so I slathered some of this stuff on the seams and placed the seam tape back on it. It has not leaked in the last 10 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Stuff This is an amazing adhesive. It remains flexible, and holds materials extremely well. (The guy who reviewed this before me doesn't realize polyurethane doesn't work on vinyl/rubber materials - so his comment is irrelevant.) I used this in the boating industry, it is highly regarded by boat manufacturers and car manufacturers. If only people knew the technology sitting on the shelf at their local Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had makes my life easy. This was the first time I built a retaining wall and I wasn't confident about gluing concrete together. This product was easy to use and did an amazing job. I later added a cap and it is still locked tight like it is welded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Construction Adhesive I know! This is the best Adhesive for Metal, Glass, Plastic. But you can't use ist on wood and you got to know how you do it. I used it the last decade in a Window manufaturing company in Germany.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient size Perfectly packaged for the DIYer. Easily used in a caulk gun with minimal mess. Dries in a day but still leaves some time for "adjustment" in brick placement until dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used to bond aluminum corner to Hardy Fiber-Cement board. I had rot in the corner of my double-wide trailer. After tear out and replacement I used Hardy fiber cement material on all four corners. I caped it with 8' x 1" Aluminum corner material. I used Sika because it will expand since the Aluminum EXPANDS in heat and I didn't want an adhesive that would let go. Now about a year later it still keeps its cement bond between aluminum and Hardy Fiber-Cement material. I thinks this is great stuff if you observe what materials to use it on and carefully READ and follow directions. For example I used tape to hold the aluminum in place for at least two days( to allow Sika to fully cure) or more before I removed the tape holding the Aluminum up was removed. .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great This adhesive has worked really well to attach metallic markers to concrete. The adhesive is pretty viscous so I recommend getting a quality caulking gun to apply it.
