Thank you for your inquiry regarding Sikaflex Concrete Fix. We recommend the surface where you are applying the sealant to be dry, clean, sound and free of contaminants. If you have a vertical crack, gun the sealant into the crack and tool as desired to be level with your wall. Before painting or overcoating, allow the sealant to cure for a minimum of 7 days. My apartment has concrete ceilings, covered with joint compound. Will the concrete fix cover a crack 3 inches wide, and approx 1/2 inch deep?

The product description seems more suited for narrow cracks as opposed to cracks such as the 3 inch wide gash in my ceiling.

Also, should I fill the 1/2 inch deep crack in one go using the concrete fix, or is it better to do fill up the crack in stages (i.e., several layers)?

Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question. Sikaflex Concrete Fix can be applied to a 1" wide by 1/2" deep joint. If you would like to use it, Sika recommends doing it better in stages. Sikaflex Concrete Fix will bond to it's self without and issue.

Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question. If the tank is made from concrete, it can be used. The joint must be clean, sound and dry before the application. Opening up the hairline crack to a 1/4" would be necessary.

10.1 fl. oz. Concrete Fix is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great ! BUT... works great - fills, flexible (doesn't crack or chip out) BUT you absolutely, positively must NOT get it on your hands, much less clothes. After drying it will not come off your hands - not with turpentine, acetone, oil, goo gone, NOTHING. I went to the web site and it said can only be mechanically removed and they mean it. I had to get the bulk of it off my hands with my Dremel sander and let the rest wear off over several days. Next time i wore 3 pair, tight latex, with rubber dishwasing type over and then latex on over that to make then tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EASY TO USE This product was easy to use. I followed the instructions in the video on this site and everything went well. I first dug down to the foundation to expose the crack down to the basement floor level. I next used a concrete chisel and a hammer with a 3 lb. head as shown in the video to make a 1/4 inch opening, used a wire brush to clean the crack then applied the Sikaflex. I next used scraper to smooth it. I originally intended to fix 1 crack I thought may be prone to leaking water. It was so easy to use I decided to fix 5 cracks around my 45 year old house . I used gloves so I didn't get any on my hands however I did hit my elbow into the applied Sikaflex. I had no problem wiping it off of me. I also had no problem cleaning my scraper with just a paper towel. I would recommend this product. No mixing and easy to use

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended for vertical or horizontal cracks on concrete walls This was relatively easy to put onto vertical or horizontal cracks on my concrete block wall. The consistency was solid it enough so it does not drip on a vertical application. I used a small painter stick to smooth out the caulking. Also did prep work like power washing and wire brushing the wall. Let's see if this sealer will stand the test of time...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well and holds up over time I used this to fill and seal some bad cracks in my concrete. It worked very well and has held up thru rain and cold weather. It was very easy to apply. Just follow the directions. The color is gray. At this price it is really a good deal!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Driveway cracks After filling in the cracks of the driveway and waiting the amount of time then painted over the concrete fix after over a week started to drive on it then it started to turn black looked worse then seeing the cracks. If you going to paint your driveway don't use Concrete Fix. I am in the process of getting all of it out of the cracks.
