Hello and thank you for your question. It has been done in the past but Sika always recommends doing a test area, some where people will not notice. All dyes/stains are different and they can affect the appearance. Please see the link for the product data sheet: https://usa.sika.com/en/residential/residential-home/residential-products-a-to-z.html

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Peeled off our driveway By the Spring, the coating had darkened, and much of it was peeling off the driveway in patches (first picture). In order to seal the driveway again this Fall, I had to rent a power washer and blast the old stuff off a few square inches at a time. I never did get it all off, either (second picture). Spend a dollar more and get the non-glossy version, which works much better. The other disadvantage of this coating is that it may bring you into that time of life when you notice that power washing your driveway improves its appearance. Don't go there. September 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I am a contractor. ! Resurfaced my drive way, I used Commercial grade sealant. I ran out and thought I would grab this stuff at Home Depot it was cheap and thought I would try it. Because it is a water base you spray one direction then roll out the water droplets, then repeat the process but spray the opposite direction then roll. It applied like the commercial grade stuff and it is $50 bucks less for 5 gallons. So as long as you apply it correctly, light coat and roll it out it works. We will see after this winter. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Miserable sealant I used the high gloss sealer on my carport. Allowed the miserable stuff to dry for four days. Parked the car on it overnight and the sealer is coming up off of the concrete. Do not waste your money on this stuff. May 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save your money This product prevented nothing this winter. The salt still ate up my stairs with this stuff on. I wouldn't buy this product with your money. April 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap and did the work Applied this with a bleach/corrosive sprayer i purchased from the same store and it went on easily. The "Milky" color is easy to see and disappears as it dries, letting you know where you put too much and where there isn't enough. Be careful with the finish as it will be slippery when wet as it is acrylic and may chip is you hit it too hard with something. September 4, 2012
