This fencing is a very well engineered product. Once the posts are in you are basically done. Putting in panels is a snap.

Post caps drive on with a rubber mallet, no need for glue! We were pleased with the whole fence system. The quality was good, installation easy, and results looked good.

This cap is a pretty basic design which is perfect with an already eye catching panel design. No frills, but fairly low cost as we'll. good value for the price.

After Sandy, we needed to replace our fence. After having the fence installed, we decided we had better buy extra caps just incase they disappear. The price was right and having extra caps makes us not worry about being able to purchase them sometime in the future/

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HomeDepotFan Fits my SimTek Ecostone post perfectly
Fits a 5 x 5 post perfectly with a slight pressure fit, exaclty like the specifications say it should. This is clearly made for the Ecostone fence system, not a 6 x 6 wood post. I also appreciate that Home Depot doesn't kill me on the price of small accessory items like a fence cap, where others sell this item for double what Home Depot does.

Matches perfectly and adds a nice finishing touch to the Sim-Tek fencing which is just awesome. The local inspector thought it was the nicest looking fencing he has ever seen. I had to laugh though when the manufacturer sent a commercial carrier in a 30 foot truck to deliver a small box that weighted less than five pounds that the caps came in.

The detail specs say 5 1/2 by 5 1/2. That would fit a standard 6 inch post. It is actually exactly 5 in by 5 in. That does not fit any standard post. I will have to use router to take 1/4 inch off each side of post for a depth of 1/2.
