Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Be sure to Measure! While this product is a regular in my purchases, I forgot what size I needed. So these 2 filters are not going to be used. I believe, though, that this quality of filter is an excellent asset in minimizing dust particles and other allergens. One of my rental homes is on a busy street that includes truck traffic ... lots of dust is generated. In spite of Andersen thermo-pane windows that seal well (purchased thru Home Depot), I regularly provide the replacement filters to permit the tenants to replace the filter monthly. They are happy to have them provided. This benefits me, too, as I can be sure the furnace and AC are not working under strain of blocked filters. May 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not sure if there's a difference.... I can't give an overwhelming "yes" or "no" as to whether I'd recommend this product, but I'd say it's OK. The filters are extremely lightweight and not your typical construction (I.e., a pleated filter with a cardboard frame). My biggest concern, due to past experience with some other different filters, was that due to its construction it might cause a 'whistling' sound when the A/C was running, but that was an unfounded concern. It's really too soon to tell if there are any true minuses to the filter; this is going to be a matter of durability and effectiveness, but at least a month (or more) will be necessary to make a determination on these. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stronger with more pleats This innovative design using a plastic frame allows nearly 50% more pleats thus increasing the surface area of the filter. A plastic rib runs down through each pleat adding strength and stability. Yet it is flexible so you can twist and bend it, if necessary, to fit into tight openings. It is electrostatic charged and has a MERV 8 rating, which handles mold, pollen, pet dander along with dust and lint. The open design allows for compactly stacking the filters into one another's pleats. They are recommended for 90 days use before replacing. With all these features, they are still competitively priced. July 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Plastic vs cardboard frame I would recommend this filter as it's much sturdier than the cardboard frame ones. Also mold resistant and washable. Although it may not be as environmental friendly as a cardboard frame since plastics take decades to break down. May 5, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Marginal fit and substitute. These air filters are made of an all-plastic frame, and the frame is thinner than regular filter frames. The overall dimensions are slightly smaller than regular filters. It seems that a normal filter is about 1/8" short of actual sizes. These filters are about 1/4" shorter. As a result, they fit loosely into the filter intake. In my case, I have ceiling intake vents, and the filters will rattle around when the blower/fan starts and stops because of air pressure. The filter does not sit in the intake; rather it lies on the grille. The pleating material is really good quality and has great surface coverage, so it seems to filter well. There is only one label on the filter to indicate size and air flow, so be sure to look for that. Overall, a marginal performer based on its loose fit. August 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for 1" only filter housing. I have a 20x20X2 filter housing, but it can use 20x20x1 filters. The problem with these filters is that they have no real "frame" to support themselves on all four sides, so when I put it in my 20x20x2 with the 1" tabs out...the filter is only supported at the top and bottom, and not on the sides, so the filter got sucked into the return. It would have worked fine for a regular 20x20x1 box. September 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by easy to use, effective I just switched these filters out on my furnace. I am so happy with the ease of use. I have dogs, so the old filter was a mess, the new filter was effective and easy to install. I waited a couple of days to see how it worked. No increase in dust around the house, no funny smell, just easy to use and easier to dispose of. October 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great filters Great filters. Arrived quick. Easy to install and traps quit a bit of pet dander and dirt. Better than the fiberglass string filters I think. September 9, 2014
