Product Overview

Developed to give families greater convenience and enhanced security, the SimpliciKey electronic door lock is a product that offers a more simplistic approach to secure residential access while creating an aesthetic that homeowners are proud to display on their front door. The result is an electronic door lock that charts a new path in home security solutions. With its sleek handheld remote control devices, its backlit alpha-numeric keypad, or its traditional key, SimpliciKey gives you the options you need to enter and exit your home electronically, with complete peace of mind. At SimpliciKey, we imagined a world in which mothers could drive up to their homes, despite weather conditions and use their SimpliciKey remote control from their car to conveniently unlock and enter their home. We envisioned homeowners enjoying the convenience of allowing trusted guests into their home without their presence. We envisioned an electronic lock that would pay homage to the long-standing tradition of mechanical locks while pressing toward a world in which the convenience, security, and beauty of SimpliciKey would open the door for the use of metal keys as an option, not a rule. What began as a concept has now become a reality, and quite simply, we wouldn't have it any other way. This is a new dawning in electronic door lock solutions. Welcome to the world of SimpliciKey.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Was Great, Until it Quit Working, NO SUPPORT After a couple years of working fine, it completely stopped accepting any key codes or remote. Only way to lock/unlock is with actual key and manually turning latch. Could not get a response from support and phone gives message that message box is full then disconnects you. I think when you buy something like a deadbolt for $200, you expect more than a couple years from it. July 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful! I've had a wonderful experience with my SimpliciKey. I ordered it online from Home Depot. It arrived promptly and I was able to set it up myself in 20 minutes with no problem. The design is ingenius. It doesn't look high-tech on the outside (refer to attached photo), but its capabilities are amazingly convenient! We have a handyman working on a bathroom project right now. Instead of paying to have a key made for him, he can use a custom key code to enter and lock the house as needed. Needless to say, I don't think we'll ever be able to go back to regular lock and key! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Speedy and accurate delivery I bought this product for a consumer of our agency who is disabled. As far as I know she has not installed the system so I can't recommend it right now. July 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It was good It was what we had before. Seems like it stops working every 2 years and we had to change it again. We got the same one to be able to cover the hole on the door. What I like about it is the option of covering the key pad, all the new ones comes with no cover. Makes me wonder about heat and rain. July 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Support Work for about a year, when I had to change the battery the admin code did not work. I email SimpliciKey (3x) and call their tech support (3X), no answer or reply. Customer support is really bad. July 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very convenient deadbolt lock While this lock is pricy ($200) and very difficult to set keypad codes (doesn't allow enough time to set codes before timing out), it is very convenient if you are ever confined to bed or chair due to injury. It allows you to lock and unlock your deadbolt with a remote control somewhat like a garage door opener. While the August lock available at Apple Stores is easier to install and has more useful features, the August lock is more expensive ($250) and it does not have the one feature I find most useful of all, The lock/unlock buttons on a remote control like a garage door opener. With the August lock, you need to know in advance the individuals or their mobile phone number that are coming to your door in order to grant them access. With the Simplicity lock, you don't need to know in advance who's coming to the door and you don't need them to have mobile phones with them. December 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pricey, But Great and Looks Good! I love my simplicikey. I put mine in several months ago and love it. There are certainly cheaper options out there, but I went with this brand and model for one huge reason- it looks like a normal lock! Everything else looks kind of trashy with the numbers exposed, and I was worried my condo HOA would not accept it. They approved this one without question and it really does look like a normal lock. Function is great, only problem I had was my FOB battery died very quickly but just tested with a new battery and works fine (my roommates has not had this issue, think mine was a fluke, and it is a $2 battery no biggy!). Yes pricey, but compared to other electronic locks I think it is worth it for the appearance alone. May 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product, great for families on the go This lock is great! We bought it because we are always on the go and between the kids, the babysitter, and the pet sitters, we got tired of giving out keys. The remote control is great when hands are full of groceries, athletic gear, or book bags. Anybody that has tried to unlock a door while holding a child and bags at the same time will appreciate the ease of this lock. We haven't had any problems with it at all. The rest of our house is modernized with every new technological gadget there is--it was time to do the same with the door lock and we love it! January 20, 2012
