Product Overview

Berkshire Flooring Carpet Tiles are the softest carpet tile available on the market today. They are manufactured to allow for a broadloom appearance once installed. The Tranquility Style is available in multiple colors that can be mixed and matched to your liking, allowing you to be as creative as you want or they can be installed all in one color. The tiles are 24 in. x 24 in. and come with a pre-applied pressure sensitive adhesive so you simply peel and stick them to the floor. Installation is easy, the only tools that you need are a square, a tape measure and a carpet knife. The carpet is made from solution dyed continuous filament PermaClean fiber which is inherently stain and wear resistant. The carpet tile has an attached high density cushion. All Berkshire Flooring carpet tiles are environmentally friendly and carpet tiles reduce waste by 15-20% compared with broadloom carpet. You will love that they are easy to handle and that they are the no glue, no tacks, no tapes, no odor way to a simply beautiful floor.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 76 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great inexpensive option, installation can be tough I'm very happy with the color and features of these tiles. With two small kids and two animals, having the option to just pick up the tile to clean it, or exchange it for another one is great. It took me a while to get the seams close enough so that they aren't visible, and if you really focus on it you can still see them, but no one comes to my house and stares at the carpet! Installation isn't as difficult as regular carpet since you don't need the special tools, but cutting pieces to fit gaps or around walls can be tedious. Again not difficult, it just takes time! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by super easy install The carpet squares are really easy to install since they cut easily and can be adjusted even after they have been placed. I installed a checkerboard pattern with two different colors but the seams still disapeared. The squares were not all the same dimensions so I had to cut a few or leave some with wider seams to compensate. Also after cutting the squares fray a little. If you have a seam more than about 3/16" then you can feel it when you walk over it without shoes. The squares also have decent padding - overall great product. May 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Carpet Awesome carpet. Installed in an hour in our new walk-in closet. Installation was simple and the carpet looks amazing. My wife and I are certainly the only ones that know that it is carpet squares. They match up perfectly and are seemless. December 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage The idea of perfectly seamless tiles is a paradox really. With traditional carpet squares you normally alternate the pattern simply as a method of providing depth and interest to something that really can't be seamless, but in theory the pile on these tiles is supposed to make that a thing of the past. The problem, though, is getting these to line up perfectly square and tight. It takes a lot of patience and the willingness to occasionally have to pull up a tile that was not perfectly and precisely snug. Despite my efforts, I still see the occasional seams. Seams aren't my real gripe though---durability is. 6 months on I'm seeing very obvious wear paths in the carpet. This has about the same level of crushing as the cheapest builder's grade carpet out there. And then there's the peeling! I'm not talking about the tile itself peeling up from the floor, but rather the carpet itself peeling up from the padding. This is especially true where corners happen to meet, and God forbid there's ever any kind of spill because any left over moisture obviously weakens the cheap adhesive that bonds the carpet to the backing. Final verdict: I'm going to soon replace with the traditional low pile commercial tiles you might find in an office, library, etc. October 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Way better than expected!! I love these tiles! I got the Mountain Mist color. The pictures on the site look like the tiles are a solid color, but they are actually speckled. They were so easy to put down and they look wonderful in my basement! You can't expect them to feel like a plush, padded carpet because they aren't. The padding is only about 1/4" thick, but they are perfect for basements! The seams are barely visible. We noticed that they seemed to be more visible when we weren't careful about getting the carpet fibers out of the way before putting the next tile down. It took us about 5 hours to do 500 square feet, start to finish. February 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great but not great. Easy to install.I followed the arrows on the back of each tile. But unfortunately one box of the carpet tiles isn't the same as the others, the fibers are longer or something. Now unless I pull it up and spend the money for more tiles I have a stripe in the center of the room. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! Bought to do a bedroom. I'm a 67 year old woman & had no problem laying it. You do not see the seams, BUT you must lay it to match the seams. Glad it's not super sticky as I had to pull some up. It gradually sticks more with traffic. I was short two tiles & had to buy an additional box. Wish they sold samples. At least I know if I spill something or the dog has an accident, I have enough to replace area or switch with another tile in an unseen corner. January 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed in how they hold up Three years ago when we decided to replace our floors I looking into have cheap carpet put in, but with 2 kids and 2 dogs I thought these would be perfect. Get a stain that wont come out, rip up that tile and put a new one down without having to replace the entire carpet. I was very happy with the installation and the way it looked for some time. Now, 3 years and 2 weeks later, we are renovating our house once again, and there were a few tiles I decided I should replace. Unfortunately seeing the 3 year old tiles next to new tiles makes me realize how horribly these have worn. They look lifeless and stringy, no pad left to them. Of course this is just a few weeks after the 3 year wear warranty expired, I should have thought about it before it did. Very disappointed in how they held up in just 3 years (even in places like under the dining room table that doesn't get used that often) and wished I would have gone with something else.
