I have used these once before and they worked good. Go slow when screwing into post as to not over tighten.
I moved a structural post in basement and these are what the engineer required. They are made from a thicker gauge than some of the others I saw at the store. They are a bit more expensive, but when you are taking about living structure $10 or $15 does not make that much of a difference to do it right.

I am installing a large Patio structure and needed anchors for the columns. Arrived on time and were just what I ordered and needed.

Not terribly easy to work into wet quikcrete. Once in place it seems substantial.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by boomer Heavy duty construction, well thought though design
Easy to install into the cement. Looks well made, thick metal strapping, should be good for retaining the 6" x 6" post when positioned.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TheWizard Lots of uplift capacity
Recenntly used these for an outdoor footing. If you check the Simpson web site they are rated for a lot more uplift capacity than other similar connectors. They are a bit expensive though. Be patient when pushing them into the wet concrete, I had to use my foot to help!

The product is strong and durable--which is what I need for the coastal environment where I will be using them.

Easy to install. I used them to hold 6x6 - 8 foot posts to support a 14 x 13 roof. The structure has a very firm response.
