I'm not clear on the question or what connection is being made here. Ultimately it is up to the Designer to specify the appropriate connectors based on framing layout, demand loads, local building codes, etc., but with further clarification we can point to options. You may wish to contact your local Simpson Strong-Tie branch for further assistance. Thank you!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No equal Simpson is the industry standard. Their logo is the "no equal" symbol. It's true, but, come on, it's just a steel brace. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Secure Tie Rail Fit & held a standard 2x4 well. Mine differed slightly & did not feature a hole through the center of the plate as (barely) seen in the image. Mine had only 1 hole in each of the two "wings" & two holes in each of the 2 wings that secure to the 2x4. Galvanized finish for durability. October 8, 2013
