can this be used for wall bracing?

It doesn't look quite like what's in the Simpson strong tie manual at the store on page 225, but maybe it can be used?
Asked by: Rocky
We cannot recommend the coil straps for wall bracing applications as they have not been evaluted for this condition. The wall bracing straps are specifically designed so the appropriate nailing into the top and bottom plates can be obtained. Thank you!

How much weight can a single strap hold

Asked by: Robert
The CS22-R is rated for 845 lbs., but there are different fastening requirements based on the wood species the strap is being attached to and which fastener is being used - 8d common (0.131" diameter x 2 1/2" long) or 10d common (0.148" diameter x 3" long) nails. Please refer to the CS page in the current Simpson Strong-Tie catalog at your local Home Depot store for complete information. Thank you!
