Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product! DON'T BUY... The one star is for the Dewalt drill and motor. It is standard like any electrical drill. But the QUIK DRIVE set up by Simpson Strongtie is horrible. I bought this brandnew; bought 4 boxes of screws mag for it: 2 with square#2 bit, 2 Phillip heads. I tried the system with the square screws on plywood, the result is poor (sometimes the bit missed the screws and not very consistent). Then yesterday I spent 4 hours trying it on a drywall job. The screws and the plastic magazine kept getting jammed. I have to adjust and remove the jams after every 5-6 screws. I have to throw it away after 3-4 hours of trying and the worst part is my partner was using his old Hilti autofeed screw driver and that machine rocked! I was trying to save a few bucks and placed my trust in Simpson Strongtie brandname, but it is a total nightmare!!! After comparing the 2 units, I notice that the Strongtie unit is soooo poorly designed that the screw magazine was so loose that it is impossible for the screw bit to get in accurately. Big disappointment! Now I have to find out how I can get my money back from Strongtie or even credits. Maybe they should stick with hangers and hardware business...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saves SO much time! I love this gun. I just got it about 2 months ago and put down over 1000 sf of plywood in 2 days. Compared to screwing by hand, it will cut the time in half for subfloor. The screws are quite expensive, but time is money. Also, they are not a stock item, so plan ahead or you'll be out of commission quick. Overall this is a GREAT tool. I use it a lot!
