Very happy with purchase. The brackets are sturdy and easy to use. One tip - when purchasing the lumber, try and get the 2 table top pieces pre-cut at the lumberyard, it will save a lot of time and makes transporting a breeze.

I bought 6 kits to build 2 workbenches and 2 shelving units. They were very easy to use and install. Makes for strong connections and longevity. If you ever have to move them down the road, makes it easy. Also, one of the kits was missing the connector screws. I called and the shipped 2 boxes overnight. Would recommend watching the videos on their website. Highly recommend!

Strong material, include all parts needed and directions with tips for the type of working table you want. I'm happy with my final product. I don't give the five stars as the local store didn't call me after arrival for pick up.

These kits are easy to use to build just about anything that uses 2x4 lumber. I used it to build a 4'x8' chicken coop, where the bottom part is the chicken "yard" and the top level is where the nest boxes and roosting pole will be. The kit included everything I need to put together both the "ground" level of the chicken yard and the floor of the "upstairs" level. Note that most projects and pictures of this kit show the hangers being used with the straight edge on the upper side, but for the coop, these had to be reversed on the ground level so that the straight edge is parallel to the bottom of the 2x4s (as you can see in the photo). I wasn't sure if they would be quite as strong mounted this way, but the entire structure seems very solid. I do a lot of carpentry and considered making the coop without this kit, but after doing some project planning and comparison shopping I realized that the kit is really a good value for what's included, and it's a great way to assemble a sturdy project in short time.

This is a great kit. We recently moved here from another state and I wanted a workbench for the garage. After looking at several prefab units, I came across this kit and after downloading and looking over the assembly instructions from the Home Depot website (PDF file), I ordered it.
All of the hardware is included in the box and the instructions include measurements for the lumber. I had the 2x4s cut to size and found the exact size plywood and pegboard pre-cut. I took the kit and the lumber home and got to work. I completed the project a few minutes at a time over two or three days, but could probably have finished it in a couple of hours or so if I'd done it all at once.
About the only thing that could be improved is a listing of which screws are to be used for each section, but it wasn't hard to figure out, based on the number of screws received.
I think it turned out great. I mounted a power strip to the side, added a vice and stuck an old reading lamp on the top. It's more solid than any prefab I could have bought and it meets all my needs.

This is a great kit if you would like to build shelves, workbench or other things. Even know I have not decided what I'm going to build these will make putting it together a lot easier. The kit does provide all the hardware you will need including the screws to fasten it together. The kit also includes a set of plans for building shelves or a workbench. If you're going to make a large set of shelve or a large workbench you will probably need to purchase another kit.

I made some outdoor benches using the WBSK Workbench Hardware Kit. Since I am 4 blocks from the beach, corrosion protection was paramount to have a lasting final product. So I painted the RTC2Z Rigid Tie Connectors and substituted Stainless Steel Screws for the provided Strong Drive #8x1-1/4" screws. I obtained Square Drive Pan Head Stainless Steel #8 x 1-1/4 in. screws separately. The Square Drive Heads makes assembly extremely easy! The RTC2Z Rigid Tie Connectors are Galvanized from the factory. Since you can't paint directly on galvanized steel (it will flake off due to chemistry issues) they had to be primed with a suitable primer before painting. I used Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Spray Paint Primer (which is suitable for a galvanized surfaces) with Rust-Oleum Army Green Camouflage spray paint top-coat (left over from previous project but perfect for this!). The wood used for construction is the WeatherShield Premium Wood Products 2 in. x 4 in. x 8 ft. #2 Prime Pressure-Treated Lumber. I asked the Sales Rep if you have to coat the cut ends, as is required with some PT lumber, and he said: "No, it is Pressure Treated all the way through". This project required two 8-foot PT 2 x 4’s with minimal leftover/waste. For the seating surfaces, I used some Composite Decking Material that was left over from a previous project, but is readily available. I designed the depth of the benches to accommodate three full board widths deep (no ripping required) with 1/16 in. space between boards. The seating surface is 18 in. off the ground (I’m tall!). The Composite Decking is “Veranda Traditional Composite Decking 5.1 in. x 0.90 in. x 12 ft. Brown Traditional”. Everything was screwed together using Stainless Steel fasteners except the cross braces used to secure the Seat Boards were nailed in using galvanized nails. The Seat Boards were screwed from the underside to the cross braces, so no fasteners show on the seating surfaces. I decided to put “feet” on each bench leg, to not only dress-up the bench, but also hoping that it will keep the legs slightly off the ground to keep them dry. The feet were made using the Simpson Strong-Tie connector, RTR 20-Gauge Rigid Tie Connector, by hammering the side tabs flush, priming and painting and fastening with stainless steel screws. I’m happy how they turned out – note: there is fine tuning with a rubber mallet required when assembling! Pre-drilling was used for the feet screws, the cross brace nails and the holes through the cross braces for fastening the Seat Boards. Overall I am very happy with the final product and I believe these benches will last for many years, even in the harsh ocean atmosphere environment. What I would request from Simpson Strong-Tie is that they offer a Harsh Environment / Outdoor Service version of the WBSK Workbench Hardware Kit with the RTC2Z Rigid Tie Connectors Pre-Primed from the factory and Stainless Steel hardware included! Would save a lot of time on this project! [Note: I made (2) benches – one 30 in. wide, one 36 in. wide – total cost of material was about $100, but this includes buying the kit and having to buy the stainless screws separately. You can buy the RTC2Z Rigid Tie Connectors separately as stand alone pieces to reduce the cost] [PS - When posting the pictures for this review, I noticed I missed a screw in one of the RTC2Z Rigid Tie Connectors LOL!]
