They will need to access the tub from behind the wall or underneath the tub to get access to the bath waste and overflow. I recommend the customer use a licensed plumber for this.

Hi Doggie,
Most homes have an access panel in a wall near the tub. This is how a plumber can get to the drains without cutting into the wall.
Replacing the overflow and drain are best left to a plumber, because this is a very difficult job for a diyer.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap 'n' leaky I've had this drain installed for about two years now, and I'm currently pulling apart my plumbing to get my tub to stop leaking. There are two O-rings in the internal stopper; the bottom one that actually prevents water from flowing is very small, and came off sometime in the two years of use. Even if it didn't, the low-tolerance plastic tubing is not quite round enough for the plug to ever have sealed properly. I'll give it some credit for being adjustable and easy to install. If you need something temporary or sealing is not essential, go for this. Otherwise, save up for a better (brass?) unit. September 5, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible product! Arrogant WATTS technical assistance! I don't need to repeat what the rest of the people said about this product, but unfortunately it's so true. Just finish talking on the phone with WATTS West coast technical assistant and to my surprise he didn't offer any help. This item should have been recalled and the customers (victims) who bought it supplied with a better fit plugs/O-rings. I will be calling their corporate office on Monday. Bottom line WATTS will not stand behind their faulty product. January 2, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Drain Needs to be longer the one I bought was to short and drains out slowly April 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by it works I have a extra large tub... the only problem was the pull was a little too short... we did get creative and fixed it with a screw and some heat and glue... otherwise it works just like I expected... March 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor quality! Screws rusted within first week! Screws that hold on overflow cover plate rusted in the first week of use. Put a magnet to them and they stuck. Got a Danco overflow plate and stopper kit and no magnetic parts. Home Depot did a good job handling my complaint and I am happy with the end result. March 1, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Difficult to adjust water retention The drain is easy to install, but adjusting it so it does not leak internally - letting the water out of the tub, is very time consuming and difficult. Next time I will spend the extra money to get a brass drain kit. February 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy This thing leaks. Your water will drain from the tub while bathing. August 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Almost impossible to install Disposed of item after my plumber spent 20 minutes trying to install. Replaced with a better designed unit. July 8, 2014
