Product Overview

Sioux Chief 827 series shower module drain shall be used where necessary in drainage systems. This 2 in. drain has a Cast Brass Body. It has a locknut with an elastomer no-caulk gasket. A snap-in stainless steel strainer is provided.

YOUR SPEC INDICATES THIS DRAIN IS COMPATIBLE WITH PVC PIPE WHICH HAS A LARGER O.D. THAN THEW COPPER PIPE. DOES IT COME WITH A COMPRESSION GASKET THAT WILL ACCOMODATE THE COPPER PIPE ?

It is a gasket connection, intended tor PVC or ABS pipe (unless the OD of your copper pipe is 2" and won't collapse under moderate compression).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good design and build I just installed this in a basement shower where access was impossible after the shower stall was put in place. This drain assembly installed easily and seems like a quality build. I installed the unit except for the rubber gasket and top threaded part before the shower stall was installed. Then the shower stall was placed over the roughed-in drain line. The rest was easily installed after and made a tight connection. The only part I wasn't crazy about was the strainer that snaps in but it's OK. June 2, 2014
