Customer Questions & Answers

what size screws come with this item?

I can't seem to find the right screws and I obviously can't take the item back to HD because it's already been installed.

Customer Reviews

2 in. Cast-Iron Shower Drain with Strainer is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to install My first time remodeling a bathrom. Had a cast-iron drain pipe and this looked to fit the bill. Turning the castle nut of the no-caulk connection was very difficult. I quickly destroyed the provided flimsy brass wrench (I noticed some of the drains at the store were missing this wrench. Maybe stolen by other customers needing another wrench?). Instead of stealing another brass wrench, I decided to buy the Bulldog Drain Wrench tool. That worked much better but still moving the castle nut took all my strength. Finally ended up hammering a flat-head screwdriver to tighten it. Luckily, I had drilled a small hole for the drain body with little cutouts for the bolt receivers. If I hadn't, that drain would still be spinning. If I ever do this again, instead of this no-caulk connection, I'd go with the old-style oakum and melted lead. It'd be a lot less work and worry.
