Like the last reviewer, I too, chose carefully (I've been burned before by opened packages). Wow, there is zero relation between the pics on package and the contents! AND, zero instructions Need plumbers putty around drain? Yes or no - it's up to you to figure it out.

The packaging of this product depicts trap nut & washer type fittings, when fitting components are all PVC glued joints. Product is good quality and value.

So as to be sure I wasn't missing any parts, I carefully chose a pack in-store that hadn't been opened and re-sealed. When I opened it at home, it was obvious why so many were returned:- the illustration on the pack shows slip joints, but, as is clear on this website, this is a PVC Sched 40 DWO, that needs gluing. If I'd more carefully massaged the pack to see the contents (or used this website!) I'd have realised. Anyway, I don't mind gluing, since I already have glue and primer.
The chrome plate on the plug is good, and it has an O-ring seal, not a rubber disc (don't like the discs- v v slow to drain...). The chrome on the overflow however is NOT as rich, particularly around the edges- more like Stainless Steel.
The bad part is.... the overflow screw is not long enough- or, rather, the overflow gasket is MUCH too thick. Without the bath or gasket in the "sandwich", the screw reaches its threads OK. Add the gasket, and the screw barely touches its threads- so it certainly won't with the bath there! So, I'm going to try slicing the gasket thinner- and using plenty of silicone...!
