Can you use it with out the stand? When you collapse the stand how tall is the saw with the stand attached? I am trying to figure out where I can store it when it is not in use.

Answer:
Yes, you can use it without the stand. Collapsing the stand requires disconnecting it from the saw, so you need to store them as separate pieces.

You cannot fold the stand and keep the saw attached. When I was buying it, I got an impression that I would be able to, but no. If you want to fold it, you will have to store the stand and the saw separately. The stand basically folds flat and the only way to put the saw is on it's back side, but it is still inconvenient because you will need to protect the extension rail which is on the back of the saw. Plus, you will need to lower the blade all the way and remove the blade cover assembly if depth is a concern. I bough the saw online and could not find it in the store to take a look at, and I expected that the storage would be more convenient. Read Less

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Yes, the 3410 table saw can be used without being mounting on the stand. The stand will not fold when the table saw is mounted. There is a quick mount system so the table saw is easily removed and then the stand can be folded flat for easy transport.

Table top extension

This question is from 15 Amp 10 in. Corded Table Saw with Folding Stand

I am confused because the description says it has a rip capacity on the right of 24+ inches and 12 inches on the left. But the dimensions of the table top(according to the specs on your site) do not match. Does this saw actually extend on the right of the blade for the total rip capacity of 24+ inches?
That, to me, would mean that the table top would be 36 inches with extensions, if they actually exist.

Also, is the dado insert included? If it isn't, then where can it be purchased and for how much?

Laminate Floor Install

This question is from 15 Amp 10 in. Corded Table Saw with Folding Stand

I 'm a fairly able do it yourself type of person and I was wondering if this table saw would be able to make the cuts needed that a miter saw could do, or should I buy the miter saw and this table saw. I don't do anything special like hobbies or crafts. I just need to install flooring and upgrade my deck. Thanks for your valued opinions ahead of time.

Answer:
It can do most of those cuts, but it will be more difficult and far slower than with a proper miter saw. It will let you rip the flooring very easily, though (to make the boards skinnier rather than shorter).

Answer:
If money is not an issue get both. Unless you want to make your own Saw Guide, for a circular saw the Table Saw is essential to " rip " the last row of floor planks unless you are lucky enough to have a full plank fit to finish. The table saw can't make the angle cuts, and straight cuts are made quickly and safely with the Miter Saw.

Thank you for your question. A table saw would work well for for making straight and bevel cuts. A miter saw would be recommended if you need to also make miter cuts. Please feel free to contact our Product Specialists if you have additional questions at 1-877-754-5999.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 71 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Home Projects I needed a Table Saw for some do-it yourself projects around the house. I found this to be an inexpensive but High Quality product that does everything I need it to do. Set-up is easy and secure, cuts are true, and adjustments are easy. I couldn't ask for anything better in this price range. Buy it, you won't be sorry. July 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed The table was badly warped, even though it was cast aluminum and not stamped. No problem returning it to the closest HD even though it was ordered online. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good for general use It took about an hour to assemble the saw. It is a decent saw, easily rips through pressure treated 2x8. You could build a house with this saw, but you couldn't build a kitchen with it. So, I world recommend this saw for general use but not for building cabinets, furniture or anything where precision is needed June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by can't be the value This saw is way better than other "less than top end" saws. If you aren't going to pay 600 for a comparable DeWalt, then this one is hard to beat. It's unfortunate they've opted to have a far inferior Ryobi in store instead of this one, so I had to special order it. June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw for the money. Product packaging is very good and assembly is straight forward providing you are familiar with basic hand tools. The stand is sturdy, sufficiently stable and at a good height. The blade was set square with the table which told me that the folks at the factory actually cared. The quality of the blade provided is very good with virtually no flexing. Plenty of power for typical DIY jobs. The rip fence needs to be checked for squareness but I always do that anyway. Don't know why they offer this product on line sales only. May 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Skil 15 Amp Table Saw Easy to follow assembly and Operating instructions. The instructions also provide an explanation as to the function each part of the Saw. This is very helpful to the Novice table saw user. Sturdy product construction. The "Smart Guard System" is fantastic. I purchased this saw to do a laminate floor and wood stair project. This saw exceeded my expectations. May 11, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Improvement After squaring everything up as instructed in the owners manual, when you raise and lower the blade it wobbles left to right. When you get the blade to the height you want, you have to square it up all over again. There is no excuse for this. A table saw is supposed to be a piece of precision equipment. But for the price, I guess it will do in a pinch! Disappointed in the "Skil" Brand! April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value! The table saw works very well, easily making accurate cuts. For the low price it is a great tool! April 26, 2016
