Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disgruntled I took my time before purchasing this saw, read many positive reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews on Skil's website. (knucklehead)
Assembly was easy, took about an hr. However try as I might I couldn't get anything square on this saw. The miter gauge is a piece of garbage made of metal and warped plastic. After wasting about 4 hrs of my time trying to square the rip fence and blade I put it back in the box and returned it. I wouldn't recommend this saw to anyone.
Skil should be ashamed of this product and Home Depot should stop selling it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by steadyeddie just the right product for my shop!
The Skil - 3410 is an easy set-up. From the opened box to cutting wood projects took less than a 1/2 hour. The cut was smooth and effortless and the standard features (safety and useful) made it an easy task. I would recommend this table saw to my friends who also enjoy woodworking at home.

Wont cut over 18 inches. Not an accurate fence. Disappointed.

The table was badly warped, even though it was cast aluminum and not stamped. No problem returning it to the closest HD even though it was ordered online.

I needed a Table Saw for some do-it yourself projects around the house. I found this to be an inexpensive but High Quality product that does everything I need it to do. Set-up is easy and secure, cuts are true, and adjustments are easy. I couldn't ask for anything better in this price range. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DH good for general use
It took about an hour to assemble the saw. It is a decent saw, easily rips through pressure treated 2x8. You could build a house with this saw, but you couldn't build a kitchen with it. So, I world recommend this saw for general use but not for building cabinets, furniture or anything where precision is needed

This saw is way better than other "less than top end" saws. If you aren't going to pay 600 for a comparable DeWalt, then this one is hard to beat.
It's unfortunate they've opted to have a far inferior Ryobi in store instead of this one, so I had to special order it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Shoprat Great saw for the money.
Product packaging is very good and assembly is straight forward providing you are familiar with basic hand tools. The stand is sturdy, sufficiently stable and at a good height. The blade was set square with the table which told me that the folks at the factory actually cared. The quality of the blade provided is very good with virtually no flexing. Plenty of power for typical DIY jobs. The rip fence needs to be checked for squareness but I always do that anyway. Don't know why they offer this product on line sales only.
