15-amp 7-1/4 in. Magnesium SKILSAW Worm Drive Saw is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine.......... I have been wanting one of these for a long time. It was worth the wait. I love the power.......which takes some getting used to after using a traditional cir saw all of my life. I love the veiw being on the left side, which is good for a righty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ergonomic! I switched from my dewalt circular saw to this wormdrive on the recommendation of a carpenter I know. He was right on every point. Sight lines are amazing with the left handed blade, the saw has more than enough power, I don't have the manually move the guard out the way like I used to for most cuts either. My only concern was the amount of sparks that come out of the bushings area when I use it. Seems a bit excessive and I hope this isn't indicative of something being improperly installed at the factory. As long as I keep checking them and they last a decent amount of time I will be happy though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks great I bought the saw at home depot and had to buy the oil in lowes since home depot does not carry it locally, thank god lowes had it, ordering it wouldn't have been great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never going back to a sidewinder, ever. I can't believe I shy'd away from worm drive saws for so many years. The bearings in my B&D sidewinder recently went out so I tried just about every saw at my local Home Depot. I was very disappointed in how the other brands of sidewinder style saws didn't track straight when cutting long pieces of plywood. After much disgust I reluctantly pulled the trigger on the most expensive worm drive saw that HD sells. To my great pleasure, I was amazed at how effortlessly it was to cut perfectly straight lines, absent of drift, with this saw. All those years working on job sites thinking that these saws were just too heavy and were just for frame carpenters with big biceps, i was wrong. Yes this saw is a little heavier than the average circular saw but the wood supports the weight, and I just have to push it across the board. The additional weight and cutting power is what makes this saw cut so well. If you appreciate a well made and straight cutting saw you won't be disappointed in purchasing this saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome saw, powers through anything, very rugged I've had a "normal" circular saw for years and after using this saw for a garage construction project I will never go back to my old circular saw! This guy has loads of power, easy adjustments, a nice heavy cord, beefy bottom plate, it's just a fantastic saw and has been year after year. If you need to cut wood...you need this saw!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The design could easily be better You want to make good cuts with your worm drive saw right? The wider side of the foot plate is the preferred guidance side to keep a deep blade cut square. For that the saw needs a wider foot plate. The foot plate should be wide enough for either edge to be used with a straight edge guide. Currently, the oil fill housing and the external bolt boss on the armature shell, interfere and defeat that use on the precision preferred side. The Magnesium foot is better than the old warped metal plate but it is time to update to a professional user friendly design with a wider plate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best worm drive saw You won't be disappointed with this saw, whether you are an amateur or a professional. Don't waste your time with other brands, these have been the benchmark for worm drive circular saws for decades and you cannot go wrong. I use mine daily and have used Skil saws for years. Like any cutting tool, do not cheap out on the blades.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent saw I have always used skill saws in my trade as a union carpenter and they are the best.  I just wish it was not made in China.  We need our jobs.
