Easy to use. Compact and not too heavy. I used it to sand down dried primer paint runs. Easy to load, worked great and an excellent price point, too!

Used for one simple shelf project and the plastic tab on the wire that holds the paper in place broke off during operation. 30 minutes into the second project the wire will not hold the paper in place. Don't waste your money on this sander, spend a few more dollars and get one that will last.

I used this sander to refinish a table and chairs. The product was a complete let down. It took longer to replace the paper then it did sanding before the paper came off. I got creative and used different ways to make the pins that hold the paper in place in order to get a little extra time of sanding.
I loved it when it worked but overall would not recommend this sander if you have a table and chairs to sand like I did. I ended up sanding by hand because it was actually faster then to try to and mess with the sander (replacing the paper before it came off).
I would rather spend a little extra and get a better quality sander. According to the reviews I've read, I'm really looking forward to getting the Makita and will hopefully have better luck with it. I have a buffet and china cabinet to refinish.
I'll keep you posted as to how the Makita actually performs.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Scatterwitts filter works great until it doesn't
The filter really cuts down on free flying dust and I was diligent in cleaning it out regularly, making it a habit to empty the canister each time I replaced the paper. Using a large, cheap water color brush I gently encouraged as much dust as possible out of the canister but the design of the canister is, well, it's just stupid: there are 'shoulders' that catch dust almost at the hole where the dust comes out and they hold the dust inside. Tapping it while rotating the caster alllows you to shake out more dust but there is no way to truly empty it. The instruction manual states that the dust which remains does not impair it's efficiency but this is not true. The longer I used it the thicker the layer of non-removable dust became and there is no way to open the canister.
I have not experienced the problem with the wire hold-downs others have complained of. This may be because I've used sanders with this type of hold-down for over twenty years I am familiar with the lift/rotate movement and pressure required. I think others exert too much pressure and stress the wire.
I would definitely NOT recommend this sander for a person who wanted to add to their long-term tool collection. If you need a sander for one project and treat it as disposable I say go for it. It's an inexpensive item. If you expect to use it for several projects you'll be disappointed. Spend more for a Makita or Bosch (and lock them away where they won't get stolen). They will work long term and won't let you down.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by gmia The filter is great
I bought because of the price and I really wanted it to work,it started with
the hold down brackets that were thin and on one side it bent, and with time
(one month) the brackets didn't hold the sandpaper.
The sander, in the beginning, was not loud and did not vibrate but after (3 weeks)
it got louder and started to vibrate.
So I returned it.

The sand paper is difficult to insert and keeps slipping out, or the sand paper is ripping because you have to bend it over the edges to get it under the clamps. The whole design with the wire/clamps is just not working well. I wish I would have paid a little more and get a better sander.
