WILL IT CUT THROUGH DEER BONES?

AND OTHER MEATS...JUST WANNA PROCESS MY WILD GAME WITH THE QUICKNESS
Asked by: PEPE
I'm sure it will cut through your bones as well if you do it with too much of the quickness.

Does it come with the saw blade?

The specification section does not mention the saw blade. Is it included? A product parts list is helpful. Thank you.

Will it also cut drywall and plexiglass?

If it cuts wood, I'd think it could cut drywall and plexiglass (up to a certain thickness). Please confirm. If it does, do I need a special blade?
Asked by: Joe
Drywall and plexiglass will clog the teeth so I would think not. If you did it would be a very slow process.

I bought this saw to make a 7 inch scale nativity crèche out of wood and for other future small projects. For the money, this is the best value in 9 inch band saws since you get a rip fence, miter gauge, and LED light. I don't recommend this for production work, but if you are a hobbyist that only needs this a few times a year, this saw is for you. I would have gave this product 5 stars but only because miter gauge kept getting stuck along the track. The cause of this problem is the excess flashing along the miter gauge track created during the casting process of the table. The fix is by removing the flashing(s) by simply filing it down.

I selected the Skil rather than the Ryobi due to the sturdier cover closure system. I also really like the LED light that illuminates pencil markings clearly. My wife already has a number of projects she wants completed.

Well one bolt fit properly the other 3 are too short. Looked to see what I had to replace the bolts but of course didn't have any that size. Called Skil and lady ask what to do and she asked for part number of bolt of which there is no p/n in the owners manual. she pulled it up in her computer, verified no pn and to purchase at Lowes or Home Depot. Went to HD. salesman helping another individual. I tried to match but bolts are metric so no joy. Of course salesman disappeared. So no help. I purchased new screw head type bolts only to get home and are too small. Frustration is really building now. The bandsaw was made in China. I'm thinking there is No Quality Assurance at manufacturer to ensure pieces fit like they are supposed to. I'll make one more trip to HD Again at my expense to see if I can buy actual bolts and if I can't I Will Return the whole unit. To date haven't even run it yet. Very Disappointing.

I bought it for woodworking projects and so far it has performed flawlessly. I've resawn a 3" tall piece of walnut with no bog down, The cut wasn't pretty because the max blade thickness is 3/8" and you can't use a proper re-sawing blade but this saw isn't really meant for re-sawing. If you're looking for an entry level saw, this is it. Pros: cheap, lightweight, plenty of power, easy to adjust, factory blade cuts well Cons: table was not flat (one corner is about 1/16" lower than the others) but that doesn't really bother me and this isn't a precision saw, the miter gauge and slot has a bit too much slop in it for my liking, there's a small amount of vibration but I solved that by bolting the saw to a stand that I made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Little Saw So far I'm pleased with this 9" band saw. There are a few minor things that would really help a new user. Such as providing a Diagram of the saw including a replacement parts page Or A link to where to find that information would be Very Helpful. Also if the side to side guides were made longer so that one hand could hold it exactly were the operator wanted it while the other hand tightened the set screw would make a big difference as the guides move when the set screw is tightened. All in all for the price and for what I'll be using it for it's a good tool.

I bought it actually believing the "straight and accurate cuts" claim with the ripping fence and figured, for my Immediate project, it would suffice, and perhaps be a useful thing to have around. The problem is, without good upper and lower blade guides (these are small metal "bushings?" That can't be snugged to the blade without introducing friction), the blade twists unless you go really, really slow - and it's not because I didn't bother to learn to set it up. It's because it' a toy, not a tool. I don't think I'll just throw it in the trash, but the thought crossed my mind more than once trying to get straight cuts on it. Fortunately, if you set it up and saw really slowly, it'll cut straight enough and not bog down
