I bought this Jigsaw about 5 years ago and have used it for a couple of small projects as needed. The saw has some nice adjustability built into it and can be set up depending on what you are cutting and how you would want to use it. The power is adequate but the base is not as stable as it should be.
Recently when the saw was pulled out in order to build a Christmas Present with only a few days to complete the saw's piston lost ithe "Fixed Lock" and was able to spin as it was cutting. There is not any means of fixing this and the saw is effectlvely trash at this point.
With only a couple of hours of operation the $50 spent on this tool provided very little real value.

this is one of the best jigsaws i ever bought. the ease of changing blades and the acurate cutting guides are just not found in other jigsaws at this price. i highly recommend this tool.

Purchased this jigsaw a while back and so far as performed admirably when needed. Lacks a bit of the high end power to cut through thicker/wet wood, but for most jobs has been great. The pivoting head is amazing and makes circular cuts a breeze. For the value, a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Stan Great easy blade changing feature
Love this jig saw, the knob on the top of the handle is great for giving more control over guiding the saw. The easy, quick blade change feature saves time, frustration and cuts!

Bought this for some curved slanted cornices for windows - one over 16 ft. long. This saw did the job but there was some minor play with the blade. Needed sanding touchup on all the curves. Certainly a better unit than those under $35, but not in the class of more expensive ones. Blade changing is easy - be sure to get the right blade for the job - worth the price.
