I need to use it for a couple drywall patch jobs. If hooked up to a vacuum, will most of the dust get collected in dust catcher
Asked by: odette
Thank you for your question. Our sanders are designed for sanding wood and metal. We do not recommend using the sander to sand drywall as the drywall dust is too fine and can damage the tool. We would recommend a drywall sander.

Factory Reconditioned Corded Electric 1/4 in. Sheet Sander with Paper Punch and Built-In Vacuum Adapter is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Purchase!!! Purchased new a few months ago and the clips holding down your sandpaper basically fell apart. Seems the company placed more time into features that weren't actually important for this type/priced sander and less time into parts that actually kept the sander running properly. Searching for replacement clips now but am having trouble locating them - would not recommend this machine based on the trouble I'm having trying to locate replace clips on their website.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shockingly Good Sander for the Price! I love this sander! I've been using it to sand 2x4x6" blocks for a new business venture and I'm continually amazed at how well it's working! I've sanded over 200 blocks and the thing just keeps going ... it works surprisingly well and I would highly recommend it for the price. If you just need a sander around the house or have a couple big projects to finish up, this hand sander is well worth the price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only one flaw The clips for loading and unloading paper are poorly designed. They are difficult to get a grip on and stick badly. Leading to very early failure. Both mine FELL off (wire broken) in the middle of a sanding job. The only cause I can see is fatigue from having to be forced open and closed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pad has worn off completely!! I bought this sander approx 2 months ago. I love the way it works, and it is very light weight. However, within 2 days of using it rubber pad had worn down at the corners and no store has replacements. I had to hold off on our project for a while, and started back up last week. The pad has since completely fell apart.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A good choice if you intend to use it once If you intend to use it once, it's a good choice; twice maybe a good choice but for more you should certainly buy something else. The paper holder are easily broken. I have other Skill tool that works correctly

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good tool, but with design flaw I've had to replace the pad twice in one year... the pad holds the clips in place and they hold the sandpaper onto the pad. The machine vibrates those plastic tabs right off of the metal clips. I am not kidding. The first time it happened, I was sanding a flat surface, like a table top, and all of the sudden a plastic tab goes flying off. I used needle nose pliars to release the metal clips to replace the sandpaper until I could get a new pad ordered. I am getting ready to order yet another pad... because this time, both plastic tabs have vibrated off. By now, I could have just bought another machine. Otherwise, the size and weight are GREAT, and it works very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little sander that gets the job done! Easy to use. Compact and not too heavy. I used it to sand down dried primer paint runs. Easy to load, worked great and an excellent price point, too!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The filter is great I bought because of the price and I really wanted it to work,it started with the hold down brackets that were thin and on one side it bent, and with time (one month) the brackets didn't hold the sandpaper. The sander, in the beginning, was not loud and did not vibrate but after (3 weeks) it got louder and started to vibrate. So I returned it.
