I bought this today because I am refinishing a dining table and chairs. The snap on accessories are great. Metal tabs get cold worked and embrittled from repeated usage...plastic will too. I wish it came with some 220 grit sandpaper...part of finishing is to use Very Fine grit. The attachments are good for spindles and fine work. I am anxious to see the durability after seeing the posts about hook and loop pads wearing out quickly and becoming delaminated.

Sander is easy to use and has fast removal and low vibration. It was amazing on a flat surface. Attachments occasionally fall off. After about 15 minutes using attachment, the plastic base tip melted. Dust canister hardly catches any dust. I’m continuing to use it with much caution in hopes of finishing my project but have little hope for anything other than flat level surface.

Got this sander as a Christmas gift, in theory it's great that it is built to do smaller sanding jobs, and get into smaller areas. But None of that matters if you cant figure out how to undo and put back together the black attachment unit on the tool. Pretty much have to be a complete tool Wiz, as well as have a mans strength to get the attachment on and off. I am a woman so this is beyond frustrating. Poor design for sure . They must do better ! Would have returned if it wasn't a gift.

I bought this tool for sanding exterior wood window sash and frames. In of itself, the tool functions quite well for the intended task. Drawbacks include that the attachment pieces for special sanding needs are not very easily interchangeable - the system is simple in theory, but seldom is easily accomplished. Another drawback is the rubber sanding pad edges easily deteriorate which affects their ability to not only hold sanding pads in place, but make it difficult to use the entire width of the sanding pad..

Very unhappy with this Sil Octo model 7302-02. The sander itself does nice work sanding, however the dust collector keeps falling off creating a dust cloud and worse mess than if you didn't have one on there. Very poor design on the dust collector attachment. The o'ring seat is too close to the base and will not hold the collection tub onto the sander for more than a few seconds.

I've owned this sander for 3 months and have had accessories fail or break with every use. The attachment support plate has broken twice and the attachments themselves are flimsy and cannot withstand the vibration of the sander. I contacted customer service twice about these issues and to their credit, they shipped out replacement parts free of charge both times. I do not plan to contact them a third time as any further replacements to this sander will have the same end results. It's time to move on to a more reliable brand.

As a novice furniture refinisher, I love, love love it!!! Very versitile, easy to use and the instructions are clear. I've basically replaced three other sanders !!!

It might be good for projects you don't want to finish any time soon. Velcro backing comes off. Attachments wear easily. Exhaust will NOT allow for a vacuum attachment.
