Product Overview

The SkylinkHome On/Off/Dim Wall Switch Receiver Kit (WR-318) gives you the convenience of controlling your lighting with a Snap-On Remote. This is ideal to turn off the lights from your bedside, turn the lights on as you pull up on your driveway or dim the lights for a movie without getting up to do it. Simply replace your existing wall switch with the new Skylink Wall Switch receiver. Unlike many other brands of wall switches, our Skylink HomeControl Wall Switch receiver doesn’t require neutral wiring, making the installation even easier. Once properly installed you will be able to wirelessly turn the lights on and off, or dim and brighten with the wall switch or the included Snap-On Remote. The remote can be snapped into the opening of the Wall Switch receiver and be used as a remote Wall Switch. The Snap-On Remote carries a signal up to 500 feet away in an open area. You can also add up to eight Skylink wireless transmitters, such as the Wireless Wall Switch (TB-318), Motion Sensor (ID-318) or Remote Controls (TC-318 Series), to control your Wall Switch receiver.

  • Adjust your lights with a remote control
  • Turn your lights on/off or dim/brighten from either your Wall Switch or Snap-On remote

Customer Questions & Answers

Does the kit include the TB318 remote switch?

One of the product photos shows what's included for both the WE318 and WR318 kits, and both say that a TB318 is included, but the product info doesn't seem to say so.
Asked by: Joe
The WE-318 or WR-318 kits do not come with the TB-318. They come with the TM-318 remote control. If you want the WR-001 with TB-318 you need to buy the SK-7. If you wish to buy the WE-001 and the TB-318, you need to buy the SK-8.

Ok for fluorescent lights?

I just want to turn off and on a room of fluorescents. I understand they can't be dimmed. Will this work for me? I expect to change my fluorescents to CFL some day so I may want dimming then.

600-Watt Specialty Dimmer Wall Switch with Transmitter - White is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed. It worked perfectly for my purposes. I was able to install the switch at the bottom of my basement steps to control the light at the bottom. Then I used Velcro to attach the remote at the top of the basement steps. So no I dont have to walk down in the dark. I just use the remote to turn on the light at the bottom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fine and is half the cost of the Lutron version Very easy to install. Must pay close attention to the programming instructions as you have several options to choose from. The remote is somewhat awkward to remove from the wall plate but 99% of the time I keep the remote nearby on on a table/night stand so not really much of an issue. What is a little disappointing is the wall plate without the remote snapped in looks unfinished. If I did not know what it was I would not want to touch it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DIYCalgary I just installed three of these in my house and garage. Pretty straight forward install, with the following exceptions. 1. This fits in deep - 2.5" and deeper device boxes. The small 2.25" and the retrofit boxes sold at Home Depot DO NOT FIT! I had 3 extra hours of retrofitting a deep regular box, since HD does not sell a deep retrofit box. 2. The antennae is a problem sticking into an outside wall, since there will be insulation and likely vapour barrier. I guess you just wrap it around inside the box, but they say to straighten it out. Be careful with it, because it is very light guage of wire. 3. There should be a quick use guide, because the manual is entirely too complicated. Its been translated, of course, so it is hard to follow. A basic little press this, press that guide to get the basic going would really help. 4. I laughed at the description of finding the line vs load. My electrician wire almost all the lights in the house with black for both. You have a 50/50 chance of getting this right the first time. So, if the LED come on, the little switch is on, but touching the silver part does not turn on your light, then you have it reversed. The good things: 1. I got a full 150 ft of range, not line of sight out of it, maybe more. 2. Initially I was disappointed with the silver button that it came with, but then I realize that it is touch sensitive, a big plus. 3. The little LED lights are always visible at night and easier to locate the switch than before.
