Product Overview

Simply replace or parallel your existing wall button with Smart Button with Easy Clip. The Smart Button receives signal from remote control and opens/closes garage door. The Smart Button can work with up to 15 remotes; additional remote controls can be purchased separately. This model fits in most new car remote housing compartments or can be easily carried or clipped on to sun visors. After connecting this new receiver to your wall button, your existing remote control will still work. PLEASE NOTE, if the Smart Button red LED does not flash after the Smart Button has been connected to the wall button’s wires for 2 minutes, your garage door opener is probably too old. However, the Smart Button will still work if you plug in an adapter 12V DC 100mA (sold separately).

  • Smart button with visor clip remote transmitter
  • Easy one-step installation
  • Compatible with most garage door openers
  • Rolling code technology
  • No batteries or AC outlet required for receiver

Customer Questions & Answers

Do I have to replace the existing wall button?

I want to keep my existing wall button. There is no visible wire to the existing wall button. By putting this unit next to my existing button without clipping it to any wire, would both this button and the existing button work?
Asked by: DarthKristie
You need to check the wire underneath the existing button. If you can not find the wire to clip on, it won't work.

Sears craftsman opener?

This garage door opener dates back to the 1980s. There is an internal button, and an external keypad/receiver. If I understand correctly, this one smart button unit replaces both of those devices. We aren't concerned with having keypad entry at all, we just want remote entry. I assume that I would be attaching it to the wires leading to the internal button. I'm just wondering if the signal will carry through the door and the garage, as the button is near the back of the garage.

I had to order a power supply and then run electric to receiver. Only in the installation instructions did it mention that a power supply may be required. I was able to get this all installed and it works wonderful. Just wish that a power supply was mentioned. Had to pay additional shipping fees and it delayed completion of project about week

That is exactly what this product did. So now, after two trips to Home Depot, I still don't have a remote that operates my garage door opener. I have ordered one from Sears; the same model that worked for me before for several years. Hopefully that will be the long-term solution to my problem

I ultimately discovered that the battery that came with the unit was weak. Once I purchased a new battery and replaced the old one, the unit worked well. I am quite satisfied with the product. It would be nice if there were some indication from the unit that the battery needed replacing.

The product took 5 minutes to install on an Overhead Door Model 456 (VERY old model). It worked perfectly. I added an additional 2 remotes and my problems were solved. Note: I had to use a 12v wall wart.. but I had one lying around. I like this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked as advertised! I have an old garage door opener that I couldn't find a remote for and this worked great. Install took about 5 mins. Only negative was the antenna strength but I hooked up some wire to it and made it longer so now it's perfect!
