What is the height of this cover?

Asked by: Fran
About 8 inches. My original cover was 7 inches. Replacement of my old cover with this new one did not require any "re-engineering".

i need this item in a 3 ft length. Is it possible to order that size online?

Asked by: hank
I needed a weird size too. I bought a longer length and carefully cut it down using high quality sheet metal snips. You may want to experiment cutting up sheet metal to make sure you get a clean, straight cut. I practiced on an old cover first.

Do you have this product in 12ft lengths?

Do you have this product in 12ft lengths?
Asked by: Mick
Although Slant Fin makes lengths longer than 8' they are not ship-able from a practical standpoint. In fact in all the years I have done this I have never seen anything longer than 8' So if you need a 12' piece you would most likely use two 6' pieces. On a side note Slant Fin baseboard in lengths longer than 5' come with a accessory to link then together.

Fine/Line 30 8 ft. Heating Enclosure Baseboard is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed The baseboard cover in my apartment's bathroom was an eyesore. It was installed poorly decades ago, and it suffered the abuse of decades of renters. It bothered me every day - whenever I was sitting there on the throne I had to look at this ugly dented thing. And so I developed the mission to replace it. I needed a cover that was 6.8 feet in length, due to details of the room's design that I won't get into here. Of course, these covers don't come in weird lengths, and so I opted for the 8 foot model (the "venti", in SB-speak). With the tender love of some good sheet metal snips, I cut the new cover down to the size I needed. I managed to detach the old cover and cleaned up the underlying element. I carefully installed this truncated beauty against the wall and screwed it in place, making sure I didn't bend or twist it. Sharp tools and sheet metal can easily scratch, and so I used cardboard and painters tape to ensure that everything stayed "like new". Properly snapping on the front cover and the damper is possible, and necessary for a quality appearance. Just take your time and don't bend or scratch anything. As long as you don't distort anything, it should look and remain fabulous. With the addition of matching 2-inch endcaps (again, carefully installed), my new cover is radiant (pun!), and I now enjoy my work every time I sit down in said room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Rust Resistant I purchased this heater cover for my bathroom based on the manufacturer's description that it is "rust resistant". It is not. In less than 2 years, several rust spots have appeared and the "baked-enamel finish" has started to peel to reveal rust underneath. If you're looking for a baseboard heater cover that won't rust, this isn't the one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rust Problems - Solved Same rust problems as others have noted. I bought easy slip-on Baseboarders instead. Way better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent These do require patience installing, but the finished project is definitely worth it. The only thing I wish is that Home Depot sold different widths. I do prefer the hinged end caps (sold seperately), because it makes vacuuming dog fur out of the corners much easier.
