About This Product
This Smart Solar San Rafael Estate Solar Mission Lantern can be hung or placed on a table or other flat surface. Simple on/off switch and comes with a replaceable battery. Automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn. Constructed of all weather poly plastic with real seeded glass windows, houses two bright LED bulbs on top, then also an amber-glowing candle-type LED. Unit is powered by an integral mono crystalline solar panel that charges 3 AAA replaceable, rechargeable Ni-MH batteries that are included.

I purchased 3 of these lights and 2 were defective. The two returns quit working within two weeks...
I purchased 3 of these lights and 2 were defective. The two returns quit working within two weeks of purchase. On the second item I checked to see if I needed to change the battery. When I opened the battery compartment the battery and circuit board looked old and rusted and possibly the actual light source is recycled or reclaimed from another defective item because the wear on it did not match the other parts in the light.
This is a shame this does not work because everyone that saw it loved it. It is unfortunate to see an item that could be wonderful is really a bad deal because of poor QC.

I rated average because I had to order these lights several times as they kept coming in broken. ...
I rated average because I had to order these lights several times as they kept coming in broken. There is glass and nothing protecting from getting bounced around by UPS. I love the lights. Perfect for around the pool. After I complained to Home Depot, the last 2 lights came in triple boxed. Thank you HD for contacting the fulfillment center.

Although this is made of plastic, it is quite large and looks fabulous hanging off a wrought iron arm on my tree at the top of my driveway. Takes very little sunlight to make it glow into the evening. Most winter days the light goes out around 2 AM but on bright sunny days it is glowing most of the night. I like the texture on the see-through panels and the two little lights in the roof of the lantern cast a Soft light over the candle which glows orange/yellow. Before I hung it in the tree, I jstood it it on the front steps of my house and it looked lovely there also. Very happy with this product

Large Solar Candle Lantern
Love this solar lantern. We purchased three. Checked the internet and HD had the best price. The lanterns look great on the columns in the back yard. They arrived in a timely manner, well-packed and were easy to assemble. We left them in the sun for two full days and then turned them on and set them on the brick columns. They turn on together each evening and are fairly bright. They look like they have been wired into the columns.

Poor electric set up
I bought 3. Worked initially (2 lights ok, one very dim). Stopped working during the first few weeks. Changed batteries, soldered wires to switch. Still won't work. Not a good deal. Disappointed.

Love these lanterns - I have 2 other sets outside-...
Love these lanterns - I have 2 other sets outside- it just adds a wam feeling at night when you see them turn on - the only thing I would have liked better, is if they flickered a bit - but I love them anyway
