I was thinking of doing a tile back splash in my kitchen when I came across these as an "alternative". I liked the colors but decided to do them on my computer desk area first, and glad I did. I am happy with them, but I'm also happy they are in a low lit area where guests just glance at the wall as they walk by. I wouldn't put this in my kitchen since I'd want something with a little more detail and "real". So far the response has been positive, but if I ever do that kitchen back splash the hard way, i'll be replacing these. They are sturdy, metallic type back with adhesive, I wore rubber gloves to handle them so the edges wouldn't get my finger oils on them per the instructions. they line up easy, and seem to stick well. my wall is textured drywall and you can see that texture through the sticker a little bit, but over all not bad. They remind me of old school puffy stickers. In the bedrooms I have large white sliding closet doors... I think these would be great to give those a facelift! For this desk area, it's roughly 5ft x1.5', and I used the full 12 pack with a small amount left over, and error working around electrical outlets. Other than that, it was a cheap $80 to transform a small wall, a plus that it's not permanent.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by SingleMomImprover Amazing product!!!
When I received the product I was a bit skeptical that it was quality. I was afraid that it would look cheap once I applied it to my walls. But after some hesitation and consulting with friends and family, I decided to go for it. I had nothing to loose.
I have had it up for over a month now and looks amazing!!! No issues and it cleans up great. I bought 40 tiles and was able to complete the entire project in about 4 hours. It was easy to cut and stick. That easy!.
I would definitely recommend to any do-it-yourselfer that wants a quick and easy weekend project to update their kitchen or bath.
I am thinking of doing my bathroom next.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Samantha Effective Illusion, especially for the price and ease of install
Our budget-imperative stopgap kitchen makeover (until we can afford a total gut) was completed with this product. We had replaced the oven and microwave to discover two huge holes in the plaster wall in between our new units. Unsightly, indeed. With only that small area needing to be addressed, and budgetary, skill and time constraints, I was looking for something cheap, easy and quick to cover them up. This product fit the bill. We only needed four sheets. It took about 20 minutes - most of the time spent trying to figure out how to measure and cut around the existing countertop backsplash which butted into the area we were covering (see right side of the photo). We were happy to discover that they were easy to reposition if placed incorrectly the first time (it is, essentially, a sticker). Cutting was also relatively easy. I wouldn't use this in a large area, as I don't think the illusion of real tile would be as successful. However, in our small area people are always surprised to find out it's not real tile. I have suggested it to my sister who is currently renting, to upgrade the look of her builders-grade all-white no-backsplash kitchen. A much larger area than the one I was working with. So basically, when the name of the game is somewhat temporary improvement on a budget, this product is the one for you. If you're looking for high-quality improvements, with some level of permanency planned, go for real tile. The only negative was that the color was much more beige/brown than I expected, I had thought the lighter color was white, but it is not.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by AG12 Great alternative to actually tiling and grouting
Once I watched the how to video on Smart Tiles's website, the process was easy. But without the video and the tricks for easy application, this could have been a challenge. I thought the tiles were a little expensive but actually wasn't much more than had I purchased everything for doing tile work. It looks beautiful and you can't tell it isn't real tile and grout. The application goes much faster if you have someone to help.
