I was shocked by the poor quality of this product for the price charged! I have since bought high quality glass and stone tiles at a local tile store for the same price as these were. I have also got an installer to do the job for I/4 of the price given to me by Home Depot to install

Loved the ease of placing the smart tiles. I recommend cleaning the surface very well for hood adhesion. Some of the edges eaither came bent or bemt in the process. It isnt noticeable from a distance. It totally went with my decor and I love how they look like glass tiles.

I bought this based on other reviews. It looks like contact paper and for contact paper it is very expensive. Installation was very difficult for me.

Words of wisdom: the 10.5 x 9.7 measurements above are deceiving. Because of the interlocking tile overlap each panel is really only about 8" wide so order plenty. I'm now ordering more to finish the job and though now over budget I'm still excited. You'll love this.

I like the variety of selections that are offered, but I was not able to use the smart tiles due to our wall surface being OSB board, and it wouldn't make a strong enough bond. I think it would work very well on drywall.

I chose to go with smart tiles because I wanted something quick and easy to install. I am a female in my 20s and did not want to mess with grout as I don't trust myself to do a good job without anyone's help. These go up pretty easy once you get over the fear of messing them up (after the second one or so). I definitely thing the mosaic are a bit harder to install than the square sheets, but still easy to use. Tiles look amazing and seem to stick very well, but have only had up for a couple weeks. Look exactly like glass tile, can't tell the difference until you touch them. Just as much shine as glass tile, though. I was worried about the grout lines looking fake and giving it away, but overall I am very happy witht he appearance and thinking baout doing my kitchen and other bath in them. Very easy to cut, just need a sharp utility knife and metal straight edge.

I used these tiles to cover damage to the baseboard under kitchen cabinets. The product worked well and gives the appearance of a tiled baseboard. Because the tiles and cabinets are white, the look is subtle and not immediately noticeable, but when the "tiles" are noticed, they look quite real.
I was a little concerned when I opened the package because the tiles are not pure white -- they have a light gray striation. However, once the tiles are applied to the wall, they look fine and that striation, in addition to the high gloss surface, is what gives the tiles some depth so it doesn't look like you put up contact paper.
The tiles are really easy to cut with scissors. Because I was working in a narrow area (approx. 4 inches high) and close to the ground and because the adhesive is easy to apply, I was able to do a lot of piece work with smaller strips of the tile. It actually gives a realistic, random look to the job.
I agree with other reviewers of this product that the most successful jobs are those that have borders or otherwise make it difficult for the viewer to see the tiles from the side. If they can be viewed from the side, one realizes how thin the product actually is, and this destroys the illusion of real tile.
Yes, these tile sheets are pricey, but how many tile jobs are completed in under an hour?

I purchased the Smart Tiles for my vintage travel trailer. I originally wanted glass mosaic tiles for my backsplash but realized the trailer wall could not support the weight. I found the Smart Tiles on someone’s blog and thought I would try them. They really worked well! And their very forgiving as far as placement. The only advice I would give someone is to paint the wall a shade similar to the “grout” lines. I was careful but there is one spot where there’s a tiny gap and you can see the white wall behind. It’s not glaring, but I know it’s there. If I had painted the wall gray, like the “grout” lines of the Smart Tile, then you wouldn’t see it at all. I would totally purchase this product again.
