Product Overview

Don't be without power. The Smarter Tools GP-9500EB has a powerful 420cc engine and is perfect size in case you need some temporary power in an emergency situation or for every day usage at the construction site or other off-grid location. This workhorse is packed with features usually found on more expensive units such as digital hour/Volt/htz meter, electric start with 12-Volt 17AH battery, and no-flat tires that keep you rolling even around surfaces with sharp objects like a construction site. With four standard outlets, a 120V 30A twist-lock, a 120/240-Volt 30A twist-lock, and a 12-Volt DC plug, you will have plenty of power to work with. Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 138 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Power Generator The unit was easy to assemble, started on the first try. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Luv it Absolutely delighted with this generator. One turn of the key and it fires up. Runs for about 14 to 15 hours at night with ceiling fan and 2 C-Paps running (at camp at night) and more appliances in the AM including hot water tank. Highly recommended. I know it would run our whole house if needed. June 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great workhorse! Powering my food truck is hard work and this generator is handling it very well. Also, it is easy to move around and operate. It could be a little quieter but all in all a great deal. April 26, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Stopped working after 1 year We actually use our generator 3 - 4 times/week. After about 1 year, the generator stopped producing power - the rotor needed rewinding. The estimate was $400, at minimum, if we could even find someone to do the rewinding. The repair man gave us the best advice possible - buy a new generator. It's also pretty loud compared to similar generators. If you need a reliable generator for regular use, then spend a little more $ and buy a quality, name brand generator. March 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The electric start is a shoulder saver. This generator came after my power was out for 6 days due to an ice storm that devastated are area. Having to borrow one for the duration, I quickly set to the Home Depot site to place my order. Once I received this generator and some minor assembly, and adding necessary fluids it started up the very 1st time. Now I'm prepared for any power crippling storm that might hit. My neighbors came buy to check it out and all 3 placed an order. I will be hard wiring it to my house once winter breaks here and I suspect I will be doing the same for my neighbors. I based my decision on this generator after extensive research on other models, found this one to be the most for the money. February 4, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PURE JUNK i bought this generator to help build an addition while the electric was disconnected. I also wanted this size unit as a back up unit after my work was completed. Something behind the cord pull blew metal fragments out. I am still trying to get this warrenty issue dealt with. Smart tools wants me to tear the unit apart to find the issue, but they refuse to give me permission to do that work without jeopardizing my warrenty. My next email will be written to HD, Smart Tools, BBB and the office of consumer complaints in MD January 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by this is a great generator it's a beast this thing is a beast it runs just about everything in my home. It was easy to set up and putting on the wheels and handles was simple and there were the wires for the battery. It don't get any easier then that. I have the Smarter Tools 6,500 Starting &5,500 running Watt generator and they are very easy to assemble and run and on the 9,500 watt generator the electric start is a blessing. If any of you are looking for a generator check out the Smarter Tool Generators they are great machines and the Customer Service is outstanding I melted the cover of the volt meter on the 6,500 watt unit and it was my fault and I explained that to Customer Service at Smarter Tools and they sent me a new one at no cost. This is the kind of company I want to do businesses with. Again if you are looking for a generator give Smarter Tools a chance they are a great company with a great product February 10, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed in the customer service. The product is good. BUT the battery that was sent with the generator did not work. I tried to have it replaced by home depot and did not get it done. We had to spend another 100.00 dollars for a battery. For that reason, I would not recommend the product. February 19, 2016
