I've only had this smoker for about two weeks but I've already done (separately) a 6 pound beef roast, 4 racks of ribs, and 10 pounds of chicken wings in it; all of which have turned out truly amazing. This thing is easy on the propane, too; after about 13 hours on low and 2 hours on medium, there was still roughly a quarter tank left. Also, once I get the temperature dialed in (either 215* F or 350* F for my needs), I never need to adjust the dial--it just sits right at the desired temperature for as long as I need it. Yes, some smoke does escape out the doors but I haven't found it to result in any detriment to the quality of the finished meat and could be "fixed" with some high-heat insulation tape. This smoker far exceeds my expectations and I'm really happy I went with it as opposed to some of the more expensive models.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weak welds Welds on the door hinges are weak. Had bottom door hinges break while assembling. Not $200 quality. Have a 8 year old cheapy from Walmart that has held up better. This one was less than 2 minutes out of the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 38 Cubic Inch Smoker: A Great Cost-value proposition The Smoker arrived and was very easy to put together, and came with al teh parts and accessories required. Only a wrench and screwdriver were necessary. The upper front door was bashed in (took a hit from a fork lift likely- right through the outer packaging) and I had to call and order a new door. A higher-end glass door arived as a replacement which was great on the part of the company. The first time we smoked something after conditioning the unit it was hassle free and worked quite well; my spouse is a trained chef and her expectations are high to begin with. It's a good cost-value for an entry to mid-level smoker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice smoker Holds temp quite well. Temp at same vertical height as door thermometer is ~25' lower than it reads, temp at two holes above water pan is ~25-30 lower than that. That is better than most gas vertical smokers in the same price range. If you adjust door brackets so they just hold the doors shut but don't see the sidewall budge when latched, they seal quite well. With vent 100% open and gas flow set slightly above low, I can keep temp just above water pan at ~215-225 and the middle between 245 and 250. Temp varies by 10 to 20' with a medium breeze. To get optimum smoke going, I start on high and then reduce heat, open the door, load the meat then close. Assembly wasn't too bad but did take a little while. Would have given five stars if there were recessed wheels for moving like some other vertical grills have.
